Hiddink is currently without employer, so a logical choice. Let's just hope nobody else remembers he was given a six month suspended sentence for tax fraud in 2007 - but as he was on Roman's payroll at the time, it's quite likely to be swept under the carpet along with anyone who brings it up...
Hiddink would cost too much, in my opinion and he only has a handful of months of experience as a PL manager, infact he has very little pedigree outside of Holland and taking unfavoured international teams past the group stages. Hughton was always far too much of a gamble in my book.
Do you really believe that?....you can't see what HIAG's comment is?.... actually it wouldn't surprise me at all.
Its not looking too good for Harry right now, but I for one will stand by him for what he has done for this club and us fans. If he has to leave for a-while then we should employ a caretaker untill he is available to manage again.
I was surprised to read that till I thought, whats he won? Other than a very good spell with PSV, his time at other clubs R.Madrid, and R.Betis ended badly. Also, Donald Duck could've managed that Chelsea team then, Scolari was a joke appt. look at his CV! , any half decent manager would have got those players, who were at their peak then, playing well...and he did, so nothing remarkable about that really.
I can't see custodial, his doctor would back life-threatening stress due to his heart issue if that looked likely. Leniency on those more than valid grounds, would make any such sentence suspended at worst imo. I don't think any judge would put a recent heart attack victim in an overloaded prison system for this offence, that doesn't seem right whoever it is. I'm not condoning it, but its not murder.
I'd tend to agree. If found guilty, I think they'll whack him hard where it hurts - in his pocket. Mind you, pleading not guilty can be seen as wasting the court's time and money, depending how it pans out.
I dunno notso. A dicky ticker would be an excuse, if he didn't have one of the most stressful jobs known to man. If I was prosecuting that would be my argument. I expect the THFC legal team have been all over this though. If they felt Harry would be a liability and discredit the club, Levy would have cut him loose long ago.
Bankers get away with murder every day of the week., Web and the like get away with it in most of the games we play in these days., This is not to say that Harry is guilty of anything., So lets hope for the best for him, and a chance of luck for us.
A football match is ninety minutes, I appreciate there's still more too it outside of that, but you can go home and get away from it at the end of the day, and even take a break from it if need be. Prison life is all day every day. That would be my counter to that Chirps.
Spot on Notsosmart., Good arguement., If there jail him for this, there would have start locking up nearly every other banker in City.
The Eredivise was a stronger league then and he deserves a lot of credit for the trophies he won but I don't think we'd get the longevity with him... plus he's not got the PL experience... plus he'd be very expensive. All in all a 'no' for me
Only a fool would contemplate changing managers at this time, it looks more then likely we will see someone new at the helm next season but I still carry some lingering hope that Harry will stay. He has changed our fortunes around drastically since he has been here and every year we are seeing big improvements in the team which he has built, In my opinion there are not alot of managers that could have done a better job then he has already
I think your right LittleDino., On that note, I'm off to take the piss out of some of those Nomad fans currently down the road.
