i learned that no matter how well intentioned rule changes are...... the engineers will negate them within 3 months

the tyres and drs were bascially totally negated by mid year and we are now back to processions for the majority of the races. its no longer the guy to stops first gets ahead but then his tyres fall apart and he loses.... now its just back to qualify, drive hard, pit, drive hard, finish.

Yeah hopefully next season Pirelli will be able to get back ahead of the teams again. However even though they are getting rid of the hard compound tyre for next year they are changing the profile of the tyres so they last longer which is a shame. I am a bit suspicious that Pirelli used the hook of exciting high deg tyres to get the F1 contract and are now slowly make them more and more durable.

Indeed, after all, what do you want to be known for as a tyre manufacturer, exciting races or tyres that last for ages?

Tilke can actually make a good track, but doesn't understand the concept of pit lanes any more? - I can live with that

Vettels got better, and now is the best in my opinion.
Button's flashes of excellence are now a common occurrence
Still no one likes Valencia

So long as you actually need to used the 3/4 sets of tyres then it fine. I hated how pit stops on bridgestones were just because they were forced to. There is still drop off its just less ridiculous than at the start of the year.

A few year's too late, mate

Quite. Before, I just thought he was a bit of a jumped up arse who was a cut throat businessman who at least cared about the sport. Now, I've come to realise he simply has no love for the 'sport' itself, only its profits. Took me long enough eh?

I have learnt that year-long discussions about who uses the name 'Lotus' are boring as ****!

Haha, indeed!
