Hes basically saying he doesnt want any more who just care about the money, he wants more Mackie and Hill type players but with a much higher skill level.
None of the names mentioned so far fit this description - Hangeland (skill), Anelka (attitude and money), Ba and Diame (only motivation would be money, they are playing regularly in higher placed teams), etc, etc. I can only see the mercenaries prepared to join, but as I have said don't think they will make much difference anyway. Couple of loans will do it.
Bit of a dilemma eh? Mercenaries here aren't doing it......new mercenaries may do it? Stick or twist?
I think Harry said theres no truth to Anelka (money) and Ba. I would only offer players a minimal rise compared to what they are on currently plus bonuses. Thats the easiest way to filter out the mercenaries. Id also ban us buying anyone over 28 too. Samba, Marin and a quality CF or two would do us.
