I don't think there would be any need for a change in policy. You're gonna be lucky to get out the group stages regardless what you buy, and we'd be better served continuing to invest in all areas of the club. We are progressing steadily towards something built to last. The boom and bust is long gone, good riddance. We're being run properly for the first time in ages and irresponsible spending would be lunacy of the highest order.

And aside from anything else, at this rate when we're at full strength (plus two or three shrewd buys in the summer and a few young prospects), we'll give just about anyone a game, especially at home.
