I dont think anyone is going to say anything until after he leaves. We dont want to give off the impression that the buying club are getting someone who we consider to be an asshole. Michu won't want to say anything as it gives us reason to fine him his wages.
Even if he hasnt gone by the end of the window he wont be allowed back into the club thats 100% guaranteed.
We should have him back here, just make him train on his own. There are no rules against us doing that. If he refuses, fine him.
Thing is if he is still with us by the end of the month there is no reason for him to refuse to come back, there is a lot of speculation that he would refuse. I think that is wide of the mark as it's highly unlikely that he will turn down the money he is contracted too. Still I think he will be gone in the next couple of weeks, and it's likely the club will be paying a large portion of his wages until the end of the season.
I dont think we will ever know the real story and just have to accept that the relationship between player and club has broken down to such a degree neither party wants anything to do with each other (either that or wait for one of them to release a tell all book). Lets be honest the details don't really matter as knowing them wont change anything. I think every club at some point have this relationship breakdown with one player/manager or another it seems the nature of the beast. I will just be glad to see the whole sorry saga over with.
He wont return that's for sure, he doesn't want to and we don't want him to it would seem. The bridges were burning before Napoli and now even the ashes have blown away. However, we do have to give him the time afforded by the transfer window plot his own future if he can. We are currently acting coy about it all right now but this suggests to me that we have a plan ready to go and we are simply biding our time and waiting for the window to slam shut. I doubt our plan involve a loan deal as I doubt any club wants him unless we pay his wages, but why should we? Why should we allow any other club to benefit from this unfortunate situation? We know for sure we cant even sell him on as he is the only player of his stature I know of to have a negative valuation. We cant even give him away without being expected to pay some, all or most of his wages. A sub-zero price tag is unheard of. He has been transformed from a grape to a gooseberry, how has that happened? What do the clubs know, what has changed their impressions of him so drastically? It can't be nothing? can it? Currently Michu is driving but post window he'll have to swap seats for us to take over. Then I doubt it will take long before Michu disappears over the horizon and lost forever in the annuls of football history leaving a legacy of a few cherished memories over shadowed by a bitter taste in the mouth.
I'm just wondering what could have happened that was so bad that is impossible to sort out. Did Michu sleep with Garry Monks wife ? Outside of that surely there's a way to end it amicably ? ...but then again, John Terry did the dirty on a team mate and is still welcome at his club.
I thought Michu and Monk had handbags at dawn and a few punches were thrown. I think Michu has a bit of temper, I just can't see this ending without arbitration or court, which will be costly.
It's already ended in our favour though, we've got rid of them all and look what happened last season. Our stock continues to rise, while his has fallen quicker than QPR out of the Premiership
Very true, but how much has it cost to land in our favour? Laudrup's compensation was into 7 figures I believe. It's funny how many on here were quick to say to pay him off but are unwilling to entertain any money to Michu . They were under contract with us, both are entitled to this money
Surprisingly, Michu and Rangel came to blows. Re Chico, he had a strop at one of the dinner ladies, or called her something. All had something to do with cutting down Chicos sugar intake. Monk over heard and got involved and he and Chico had verbals. Chico left then came back later with a rubber brick to get Monk, but apparently he was just messing about and had no intention of 'getting Monk' at all, just locker humour and the story has blown up to mean more than it was. Allegedly.
The post suggests it could have been £3m, but if you have access to the club accounts it might be listed on there? http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...ment-Michael/story-21134375-detail/story.html
If I had access to the clubs accounts, they'd be empty When you look at what's happened since Laudrup has left, you could argue that that £3million was very wisely used.
From what I've been told Valley is that it had to do with Michu walking out of training early in Fairwood after permission for him to leave had not been given by Monk. He walked anyway and Rangel followed him to the car park. There was a row, altercation, culminating in Michu slapping Rangel across the face. Then it kicked off but only for seconds, before they were pulled apart. Damage was done though, Michu's lip was bleeding when he left. He's not attended a training sessions with us since.
