We spent £300k on Quinn and we're supposed to have spent £2.6m on Prossy, but there's a strong suspicion here that he didn't cost anywhere near that amount(same as your situation with Knocks). Everyone else was free, so you did spend more.
For about half what they cost. Blackburn were obviously the biggest spenders, £8m for one player in the Championship is madness.
Ha ha! There's no point trying to make this disaster of a signing look less damaging than it was. He's your most expensive signing in years and can't get into your starting line up. There's not too much difference between our respective spending (thanks to your one expensive signing!), but you have signed players that have dropped from the Prem, whereas as we have mainly signed youngsters, so I'm guessing the wages of your new signings will be higher than ours.
This one please!(replacing your foxes one!) http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...-LFpUfv-M4e5O4-VgeAE&ved=0CEUQ9QEwAw&dur=2529
... don't know but, like the rest of us, he's no doubt aged 10 years over the last 13 league games ...
Vardy and Prossie have been been failures. Vardy was more in hope then expectation. Apart from that all our signings where we have paid money have been worth it. Bruce signed more established players and thats paid off. While of Nigel's signings this is the first proper season at a club. De Laet and Wood have had numerous loan moves. Matty James is still only 21 as is Anthony Knockaert in his first season outside his homeland. He has been sensational at times Bruce got some people like Elmohammady, Quinn, Faye, Bruce. People with vast experience Short term you are better off but over the long run who knows
You make it sound as if all of those signings are over the hill! Elmo is premier quality, Quinn and Bruce are in their late 20's - so age is hardly against them. Okay - Faye may or may not be worth another 1 year contract. The fact that Gedo and Fahti are unknown quantities as far as PL defences are concerned could also work in our favour
Long term, our summer signers were better. Short term, obviously yours were as many of our young players have found it tough maintaining constancy over the course of a full season. I also think you did better over the Jan window as your signings have kicked you on while I don't think we brought enough in really. Wood was a good signing but his lack of confidence seems to be affect the whole team!
Welcome back, was it the recent warmer weather that heated your stone up that you crawled out from beneath?
No mate. Been busy as of late. Haven't been able to spend as much time on the Leicester forum as you Hull fans.
