Pavement parking ****s me right off. It's rife down high street. Mainly parents taking their kids to the dance academy. Yeah just force wheelchairs and prams on to the cobbled road why don't you, ye ****s. Shame if they start finding their wing mirrors hanging off.
Me too. Big problem round one of our local schools (and loads of other places too obviously). After having to wait ages, weave in and out, etc I saw a policeman walking just past where these inconsiderates were parking on the pavement, some of them leaving their cars abandoned there all school day (making it near impossible for school buses, lorries, emergency vehicles etc to get through, never mind as you say wheelchairs and prams). Absolutely crystal clear obstructions, dangerous parking, across a cycle lane too. The policeman was polite, but literally didn't want to know. "Nothing to do with me guv" sort of reply. Quoted some laws then said to go find a traffic warden and they MIGHT be able to 'help' (like you can just conjure up a TW when you want!!). I get that police have specialisms and all that, but for crying out aloud, this is just batshit bonkers, and sort of sums up a lot of what is wrong in a whole host of public 'service' (ha ha) areas - little to no joined up thinking and processes.
I’d support a law which encourages people to scratch any vehicles which park partly on footpaths. Cars which park on footpaths down my road (which is exactly the perfect width to mean you can park on the footpath but still not leave enough space for two lanes to pass each other!) should have all their windows smashed and trained pigeons released to **** inside them.
On holiday at the moment…we have one of these…and an extra door which leads to the same array outside…
Being sat still on a motorway and the signage says QUEUE CAUTION with traffic as far as the eye can see.
On pavement parking it's the mindset of it that irritates me more than anything. Because of our car-first society we're trained to think of it as a faux pas to be in the way of cars on the road, so people are much happier to illegally dump their car over the pavement and be in the way of pedestrians instead. We should never put cars over people, but we do.
Messages from Amazon customers, this is today's... 'Look we haven’t had this item I send a message be fore And no reply If I don’t have the shoes or my money back soon I’m off to trade And stander And the police And I want to know ware the parcel is And who delivered this Because never received no item' He hasn't contacted us before, his order has been sat at his local pick-up store since No 12th, he has been notified of this and it's all information he could access himself by just checking the tracking number we sent him (which is all I did before replying to him to tell him where it is). Stupid people are often the rudest people.
People who put ski masks on their headrests in their car so it looks like a face. I thought you had to be over 17 to drive? Surely that is something only 14 year old Virgin would want on his car seats?
The little sods have ruined our pitch. I suppose we can use the mole hills to dribble round in training.
