OK, Pottermouth, you fished, I bit - I accept that. But I have a serious question for you. Are you really happy watching hoofball game after game, season after season?

I can understand in their first season up Stoke fans didn't care. Anything if it meant survival. Second season, even - where we are now. But you are an established Premiership club. Can you really take any pleasure out of watching a team of six foot plus players hoofing out that brutalist football?

By the way, I did see the game at Chelsea and I have to say you played well. But last season's games against us were abominable - two of the worst games of football I have ever seen. OK, that was partly our fault because we couldn't rise above it, but an established Premiership team should be doing more than just turning every game into a lowest-common-denominator scrap, surely?

Watched the game on TV and for sure there were plenty of poor decisions from the ref for both sides. Nevertheless, Norwich played the better football (although they were poor by normal standards) both in defense and attack and, just about, deserved to win the game. Its great to get 3 points when you don't play especially well.

As for Charlie Adams, I think his time at Liverpool. surrounded by certain Liverpool players, may have influenced his behaviour on the pitch.

Yes if that was a foul the push on Bennett last week must have been a capital offence!

The two "fouls" were identical.Minimal contact in each case.Adam was unlucky to get booked,we were lucky to get the kick and score from it. As has been observed these things balance out over a season. We had some bad luck early on some good more recently.

Totally agree apart from 'Adam was unlucky to get booked'.......... deliberate handball - bookable offence forget the 'was it a foul wasn't it', the ref hadn't blown for one so was left with no choice but to give the freekick to Norwich and book Adam.

My only gripe is against Pulis. The ref was wrong we know on two occasions. Adam was touched in the same way as Snodgrass was touched. Both fouls in todays football. So he should have had a free and no booking, on that occasion. But he should also have had a free kick leading to our goal. But the officials missed it.
Justice was done. The best team won. And surely only Pulis thinks the best team didn't. I am sick to death of him coming on TV and bellyaching about how things have gone badly for his team. They go wrong because of your selections and tactics Pulis, nothing else. Over a season, decisions due tend to even out soforget the selective memory Pulis.

    Apologies for the late reply,

I've had a busy Sunday and it's not my style to "Duck out" when another poster replies to me.

Just to clear up a few things. I did'nt come on to the Norwich board to get into an argument. I never have unless it concerns Arsenal FC who seem to hate our club, it's fans and of course Tony Pulis. That's there problem not ours so to answer your'e question.

Do I enjoy watching hoofball, brutalist football as you say. Why not take the time to nip over to the Stoke board Vietnam?

Under the Thread titled " QPR next win"

I wrote that " Rant before I saw the above post by your good self " I think? All you need to know about me, how I feel, and what I think. Be it good, bad or indifferent is all there, please take the time to read it. ALL of IT. Maybe just maybe then, you might begin to understand why I and other Stoke fans go to every home game, no matter what"

So I'll leave you by wishing Norwich City FC, yourself and all the other Norwich City fans the best for what remains of the season.

Seems like TP has a VERY selective memory. I seem to remember I think it was Barnett getting sent off (wrongly) last year, which left Jones unmarked to head in the winner at CR. Also, in the away fixture, Stoke were awarded a throw in, which should have been ours, so that our defenders were out of position to defend properly and Stoke then scored from that. Perhaps a little bit of 'balancing the books' on Saturday!!!

On a slightly different subject, walking back to the car park, I was behind a Stoke lady in a replica shirt, she was wearing a 'Bench' jacket and a jeans, none of these things distracted in any way from her fantastic figure, sorry to say I got a bit transfixed and found to my alarm I was following her, just gazing at the lovely sight in front of me. Reluctantly I slowed down and she dissappeared into the general crowd.
Pottermouth, find this lady, and get her to play in your team, it would certainly brighten things up! <ok>

Y'know, for years we've had the accepted view that Johnny Foreigner has come over here and ruined our beautiful game with his dastardly ways, cheating and diving and little niggles off the ball. But the worst two offenders - consistently - in terms of how they set up their teams and quite obviously how they coach their players, are Allardyce and Pulis. I want to like Stoke, I really do. And I think they can play some decent football. But they are obviously sent out to gain competitive advantage in any way they can.

I'm sure it's been said on this thread (whcih I haven't read), but any time Tony gets the urge to lecture the reat of us on the morals of the game he should quietly draw his neck in.

Blimey HP, if you keep coming this far south you'll start getting nose bleeds! <laugh>
As Norwich supporters we have an obligation to dislike Wet Sham no matter who's in charge, but Big Sam being there just reinforces it!
Pulis is a joke, personally I hate managers who constantly blame everyone and anything rather their own incompetence. It's a trial to watch them on the pitch just launching the ball forward at every opportunity, makes your neck ache!
Good win against Spurs for you and away from home as well. <smile> <ok>
