One Foot In The Algarve yesterday, woke up early. It's good but not classic OFITG.

R.I.P.D. Watched it with the wife and we both enjoyed it. It's basically Hellboy meets Men In Black meets Ghostbusters, not highly original (Based on a Dark Horse comic book, same people who published Hellboy and MIB) i'll grant you but it moves along at a cracking pace. Decent special effects too and witty dialogue.

Jeff Bridges steals the show by playing Rooster Cogburn again.

    Well worth a watch.

I saw it on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Nice juxtaposition of The Spock/Kirk radioactive thing from the Wrath of Khan.

I was going to mention it but I did not want to come over like a fanboy <whistle>

I make no bones (sic) about it, i'm a fan of Star Trek, loved Kirk and Spock as a kid, loved all Sci Fi but Star Trek (TOS) was at the top of my must see list every Tuesday at 7pm on BBC2, Prime Time Viewing. Had the Revell Model kits of Enterprise and a Klingon D7 Battlecruiser and everything.

    Also like TNG too. <laugh>

It's just cos we're auld bastards Dev<yikes> I used to love the original series too. I can remember watching it when I must have been about seven. I used to get fact and fiction mixed up though as it was around the time when you kept having all these bloody moon landings. At one point I thought Dr McCoy was the first man on the moon. Watching it now it's still pretty compulsive if only to watch BIll Shatner ham it up.

I never got into TNG at first then there was that Borg two-parter. I started watching it then. What was he called again Lucretius or something. Have to say though that I never cared much for Star Wars though. Smoke bongs and prosper.

I thought it was a cross between Moon and Total Recall, not as good as either though imho.

I liked the new Star Trek film too! Don't like the TV series (any of them) or the older movies with the Shatner and Nimoy etc. so didn't really get the Khan reference but it was enjoyable none the less.

I watched Trance a few weeks ago, it's not bad but it is altogether unremarkable.
