Mr Brooks. Never seen it before and pleasantly surprised. Liked the way they had Hurt and Costner to show his psychosis. Hurt is the sinister alter ego but you have to keep reminding yourself that Hurt is never going to do anything, Costner is. Would recommend to anyone who hasnt seen it.

Only saw this film bcos I was looking for Nightwatch. Brilliant film I havent seen in like 10 years. Can't find it on the cheap/free anywhere and they never show it on the telly ffs <grr>

Not seen it but heard it tries too hard. It's actually stopped me seeing it as I enjoyed the first.

It's a bit all over the place, some of it is funny some of it (most of it tbh is just a bit stupid).

Any film where a shark comes flying out the sea and bites off Tara Reid's arm while she's standing in the doorway of a jumbo jet at 30,000 ft, cant be all bad. Although I was kind of hoping it had shagged her instead.

I do hope we get some spider on girl action in Lavantula instead.

    Gone Girl

Enjoyed it a lot, but then I do like David Fincher's movies. Not what I expected.

    Decent, innit?

Speaking of Afflecks, I watched The Assassination of Jersey James by the Coward Robert Ford the other night. A bit slow but strangely compelling. I think Ben Affleck gets a bit of a rough deal tbh; he's not a bad actor. But his brother Casey's better.

Ben Affleck isnt a bad actor, but he's done some terrible films. Think that tainted his rep a bit - films that didnt suit him. There are gems in there also but not many.

Don't mention Pearl Harbour, one of the worst movies ever committed to celluloid. Appalling gung ho, flag waving, risible, nonsense.

I don't think the "Bennifer" thing helped, either.

I like Affleck as an actor. I hope his stint as the new Batman works. The trailers look good.

It can't be worse than Clooney anyway!

Has anyone seen The Tale of Princess Kaguya? I'm not really into oriental animation films but a few ppl have said it's a great animation/film.
