If we win it'll be three. It's not beyond the realms of possibility.

I'm taking the piss out of you dumbass. Because I'm happy we've dropped points against teams we could have beaten <laugh> You seem content to try and stir up s**t with others when we lose. Or what you can't take it when someone baits you in return?

You weren't taking the piss, you're dead serious about this unbeaten run thing, you do literally think it's something mightily impressive right now.

Ok, Im going in...and I am gonna get my arse kicked but **** it.

Arsenal87 is ****ing spot on with his analysis (I said analysis, not delivery, because he seems to be throwing a tantrum which is childish, but his reasons for it are correct).

I have said, on this board, an innumerable amount of times, that your manager is past it, and I am sorry but he is.......

You are in a better position than any other club in this country right now to make a competitive team. You have a great fanbase, huge stadium, make plenty of money, and have a club with a big name (historically speaking).

Last couple of seasons he has actually started spending cash too! Something none of us ever thought we would see.
Yes you are undefeated, but you will always fail to win the big games....and fail to win the PL or CL...and there a few reasons for it.....(again I have said this many times, but some people don't want to hear it, but **** em)..

    1) What in the **** kind of training method does your manager put these players on that they get injured all the god damned time....for nigh on a decade now your club has been hit with the biggest injury curse I have ever seen!! You always seem to have 2-3 or more of your best XI out inured at ALL times....it's ****ing loopy and is getting to the stage where it is becoming far to common for it to be a coincidence. I thought you poaching the German fitness coach may have changed things, but that doesn't seem to have happened. I even said at the beginning of the season "**** Sanchez, that fitness coach will be the best signing Arsene makes this summer". But no....here we are, half a dozen games in, and half your first XI are crocked already.....we haven't even got 10 ****inh games in and they are dropping like flies.
Your club needs a training overhaul, because he is doing something wrong....seriously wrong.....

    2) Signings: Yes Ozil and Sanchez are great players, and they improved your team.....but like Man United this summer, you strengthened the area of your squad which was already the strongest part of your squad. Everyone said it, Arsenal fans said it, Rival fans said, Old men said it with their death rattles, unborn babies in North London exclaimed it from their mothers wombs. YOU NEED A DM AND A STRIKER!!
What do you end up with, Welbeck......second rate....should not be anywhere near the starting XI of a top 4 team, a decent squad player yes, but Giroud has a better scoring ratio than him....(oh yeah....Giroud is injured <ok>)
And as for the DM? Last summer he resigns Flamini in what you all believed to be a short term signing because the DM you wanted wasn't available (or maybe he had spent all the kitty on Ozil, who knows), much like Chelsea signing Eto'o because the striker we wanted at the time (Rooney) eluded us and we didn't have time to search for others.
So this summer, does he get the DM everyone expected......NO! Not even a sniff of one!! Seriously?!
Sanchez, great player, but he should have been followed by two signings in those key areas.

    3) No tactical awareness WHAT...SO.....EVER.....
Your manager has no ****ing clue when it comes to tactics (as well as training by the look of it).
You seem to do well against mid table teams and lower ,where you can simply outclass them with the superior quality of your players...BUT......
when you come across a team who are as good or better, or even slightly worse, but have a manager who isn't a dribbling spastic...you fail to win....look at Chelsea ffs, when we won the CL, pnly a complete cock would have said we were the best team in Europe at the time....yet we still won against much better opposition, through tenacity and tactical genius....
Last season we were only marginally better than Arsenal overall, yet still hammered you 6-0 at the Bridge...why? Because Jose can read Arsene like a book, he knows exactly how he will set his team out and exactly what kind of tactics he will play......allowing him to easily coach the Chelsea players on how to nullify your attack and exploit your weaknesses.
Arsenes tactics seem to just be: "Well...errr...we...errr...are better than dem....so we...errr....will contwohl tha game.....just pass de ball and errr.....attack and err....we will score de gowls"

    What happened to this man?!
Seriously with the set up you guys have...the stadium, the players, the money....I dread the ****ing day you guys get a real manager.......
Here is hoping you keep Arsene around for a VEEEEERYY long time! <ok>

It's a sad moment when a Chelsea fan can see things that clearly from an outside perspective. Good post, and absolutely spot on.

You write a lot of cr@p some of the time, but I agree with everything you've posted.

But you know what the stock responses from the AW apologists will be:

    1) But but but... we're unbeaten and will clearly improve
    a. No we're not... we've played 10, lost 2.

    2) But but but... we won the FA cup so must be making progress
    a. Did we beat a top team in the FA cup? Did we beat any team at their own ground?

    3) But but but... when *(insert any player that's currently injured, normally Walcott)* comes back from injury it will be a different story
    a. Hope based on no evidence from last 10 years

    4) But but but... if Wenger leaves so will half the first team
    a. That won't happen. And even if it does (which it won't) then we're better off without them as their Wenger players, not Arsenal players

    5) But but but... if Wenger leaves we'll do a United and implode
    a. United imploded because they had a great manager propping up a dross team. We have a team with some real quality in it being stifled by a dross manager

    6) But but but... who else can replace him?!
    a. You mean who else could spend countless millions and still play dour football without winning many football matches (and never beating the top sides or winning the best trophies)? Erm... quite a lot of managers probably??

Not gonna get into all your points, just thought I'd respond to your comments RE the FA Cup.

We beat Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Wigan (who at the time were the FA Cup holders and just dumped Man City out of the cup). So that's all of the top six (including the runners up) except city and Chelsea. That's a more difficult run to the cup final than your likely to see any side get. I think it's totally unfair to try and belittle the cup win which saw us take a more difficult route than any other team in the competition.

Right, I'm not trying to belittle the FA Cup win. Was the best thing to happen to us for ages. But it doesn't paper over the giant cracks at our football club (well it does for some clearly). But it's a fact we didn't beat either of the two best teams in the country (City or Chelsea), and we didn't beat any tough team away from home. I'd say 4 home ties and then neutral ground matches against Wigan and Hull is about as kind an FA Cup draw as any team could get.

And your assertion that we we took care of the top 6 'except for City and Chelsea' is frankly laughable. They're the only two teams worth beating currently. They're the two who are better than us and who we should be trying to match. That's like saying that we won the league last year apart from City, Chelsea and Liverpool. Or that Wawrinka is the top ranked player in the world apart from the three players ranked better than him.

Do you actually think the FA Cup win was a genuine sign of our progression as a team? Or an event that happened and will continue to happen sporadically every couple of years? When was the last time you watched us play a competitive game of football and thought, wow yeah they're actually really damn good...?

I'd have to go back to our 2-1 against Liverpool in the cup and that was over 7 months ago.

Exactly. I take on board all the points about our tactics, not strengthening in the right areas, playing tippy tappy pass pass pass etc and I agree that we need to improve in these areas.

But it's when people make factually incorrect comments like this and then try and slate the more positive supporters that it becomes incredulous.

Those who say that winning the FA cup is a sign of progression rather than an event that will always happen sporadically.

Who actually said that ? Nobody.

Like nobody will say we want a bus top parade if we draw at SB.

You don't actually know what people think, you make it up as you go along and put words into peoples mouths that they don't say. If you actually read what people said, you'd realise that this 'rose tinted brigade' who think everything is fine and there are no problems, doesn't actually exist. You're arguing against a non entity (but then you do like to try and start an argument I suppose)

with Arsenal , the team , is less than the sum of its parts .

    Has been for years .

Good players are here now ,

good players have come and gone and nothing changes.

    Something is seriously wrong .
