I don't think anyone outside of London really cares. Out of interest, how did you start supporting Arsenal? Were there undertones of glory hunting?
No, I had the tele on and there was a game of football, the first thing that caught my attention was Highbury, looked very different than other football stadiums, it looked very special for me, then liked the football the team was playing, and I said this will be my team. It was 96, around the time United were dominating and everyone was bandwagoning with them. Shame about Highbury, Emirates is a nice stadium, but nothing unique or special about it, Highbury had something to it.
Convenient you started to follow them from the other side of the world just as the success was about to start.
It is a coincidence, but I supported them before it, and for the reasons I mentioned, didnt know about them, but as soon as I decided this is my team, started learning about the club etc.
? Southampton is outside of London! Have you ever been to Lower Sydenham? That's in London. I'll pay for you to go there. You won't need a return ticket.
Well if I was a glory hunter i would have not stuck with us during the last 10 years? Or become a ST holder, and keep my ST even now, despite not even being in the country.
You must have not been to Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Coventry or frankly anywhere in the Midlands. Chips on their shoulders about London the lot of them.
