The only Mancs I've ever got to know were both £ity supporters (before the Arabs bought them undeserved glory).
... interesting ... what would your definition of deserved glory be? ... you see I've always been impressed by Man City's support ... years in United's shadow, unable to compete in the transfer market ... yet they still turned out in impressive numbers even in League 1 ... my alternate take would be that their 'support' seems deserving of some glory after years of mediocrity and the close proximity of fabulously wealthy, incredibly successful, neighbours? ...
They used to get 25,000+ in League One. HIAG's scratch the surface knowledge of football won't be aware of that fact. There's no doubt that City have a very loyal and committed fanbase.
Says the man who's side has been buying glory for centuries! Is Spurs' fanbase any less loyal? Are we any less deserving of glory? The difference is that we are having to fight for our glory in a world where money talks and there are a lot of big shouters in the league. It's not surprising that a United fan should support a new incarnation of glory hunters, since it was your club that invented the trend.
Yeah, possibly. But the fabulously wealthy, hugely successful neighbours bit has lost me!? Who are they??
according to you guys we spend far more on players and wages so i guess the fabulously wealthy are Arsenal. according to history and stats we have won loads more major trophies than Spurs so i guess the hugely successful neighbours fabulously are Arsenal. happy new year NSIS
You'll have to explain how United have unfairly bought glory as you put it. Are you referring back to the Edwards family? Or do you mean the Glazers who saddled the club with debt?
You've asked HIAG a question that's clearly beyond his 'scratch the surface knowledge of football' comprehension. But for the record, you're right to point out that City have always had good support. During the years of domination from Utd and their own yo-yoing between the old Div 1 and 2 and in the 90's when the were relegated and promoted something like 5 seasons in a row, their fans have always turned out in numbers and been really supportive of the club. I remember going to Maine Rd in the late 80's and it was as good as Old Trafford or Anfield for atmosphere.
No, but I probably still know more about their history that you do. Unless you'd like to answer Stan's question that you've shirked ?
I have no interest in the histories of other clubs, PIXIE. Besides, I have more than enough on my plate in keeping up with Spurs' long and illustrious history.
... how strange, therefore, that you were so adamant that Man City were 'undeserving' of any glory Dauphinoise? ..
Not really. Any club could be turned into a powerhouse if you pump enough money into it. That's why I say it's undeserving. Why £ity? Why not any other club? And don't give me that old bollocks about them having "a great set of loyal fans," because, again, that can be said about any club. Ergo, their glory is undeserving. I do hope that I don't have to spell this out any more simply for you, Fossil.
No you've confirmed my thoughts Dauphinoise .. your footballing knowledge is indeed unique. ... second to all, in fact
Ergo, you will always be a complete waste of space, and it's not even because you're a ****ing yid either.
