i think the current team is good enough to have an okay run till the next window assuming Huddlestone can stay fit, i think his injury problems are over exaggerated
I doubt he will against the bigger teams (Meyler brought in), but against the smaller teams his ability to play in a midfield 3 or as the supporting striker means we can switch Aluko from a front player to a winger with changes of formation. If we're not getting any joy with Aluko against a big centreback being able to put him against the full back could be what makes the difference. I can't think of many other players in the squad that would give that flexibility and the ability to score out of nothing.
Whatever we think will happen there's always going to be injuries, suspensions and loss of form so we need at least 20 players that we would be happy to have in the starting 11.
Nothing has changed we still have a set of formidable opponents to face if there is a difference then it is having a manager this time round who has more experience in this type of situation. Good signing from Spurs those lads may be but Spurs obviously think the have better players in those positions to be able to let them go in the first place. Spurs are a well established Premiership team so know the ropes, and don't let players go unless they are well covered. Manchester United never forgot that lesson after being relegated many years ago
Rubber stamps it as far as i am concerned. PL places from 12th down to 20th are so open this season. Its gonna be great. Start your engines boys.
