Swarbs - I don't know why you bother debating with Nohlman who keeps on spouting his same theories all the time.

Because it's moderately less pointless than debating with KPR. And I like to pick holes in his theories and see how he tries to defend himself <ok>

as ive said before Rooney for central midfield.yes before you start spouting about him being a striker,i know, but to be honest he could possibly be the best midfielder we could get?we have an abbundance on strikers, but imo only rooney will be able to take an attacking midfield role.watch this space.

To do the job we do I would have Fletcher and Carrick. If we want creativity from the centre then I would suggest Anderson steps up. If he doesn't I wouldn't mind seeing him in a defensive midfield role. He is very energetic, gets himself around the pitch, is great in the tackle and is very strong. Try him and Fletcher sitting in the middle with Rooney being our creative force behind Hernandez and then tracking back into the midfield when we need to win back possession.

Fabregas's record in terms of assists speaks for itself. There is no better player in the PL at picking a killer pass. Is he as good as Xavi or Iniesta? Maybe not. But he would probably lay on more goals and would certainly score more than they do. He would definitely get games at Barca and would not look out of place imo.

Completely agree. Fabregas, Drogba, Lampard and Rooney are the only four players to have averaged around 20 goals plus assists every season for the past six years (also Ronaldo from 2005-2009 and Berbatov from 2006). Given how deep Fabregas plays compared to the others that shows his quality and the contributions he makes.
