Sensible comment - if brought in, that should be the extent of it. Wonder what would have happened in 1966 if the technology had been available? A guy from my home town in Queensland invented a goal-line system a few years ago - not sure of the in and outs of it, but it invoved sensors in the ball and around the inside of the posts/crossbar. He approached Soccer Australia after successfully trialling it locally but was given an emphatic 'No' - got the impression that it came from higher up though - ie FIFA. Probably Blatter had a mate working on a system of his own
