    What I expect and what I want are two different things - the former based on my experiences and the latter based on my eternal optimism.

    So what I expect are:
    1) no trophies
    2) transfer windows that are more boring than watching paint dry
    3) profit figures that more closely resemble a drug cartel's than a football club's
    4) a league position that involves picking any number between 8 and 17
    5) a manager who is only there to pick up a salary and a non-relegation bonus
    6) a playing staff for most of whom English is a second language

    What I want is an owner who understands that the football side of it does actually matter and that while its great to be commercially successful that shouldn't be the only point on our business plan. The rest would all fall into place if that was the case.

    Oh and if St James Park could be located to SE Asia I could catch a few more home games.
