He praises anybody that doesn't have an association to LFC, so he's actually broke the mould with his Klopp comments. #fergiesneverwrong
WHAT DO WE WANT/EXPECT NOW KLOPP IS IN CHARGE Exactly the same hope and expectations as previous in coming managers who have failed.....lets hope klopp wont be another to add to the list of bigging up before he has had a go....there are no guarantees in this game...
Not at all, never expected much from Rodgers, expected about the same from Hodgson as we got, hoped for better things from Kenny in his 2nd stint as manager. Prior to that got what I expected from Paisley, ***an and Kenny in his first stint as manager, Souness had been great at Rangers but he ****ed up for us, never thought Evans would be much tbh, Houlier came with a biggish rep so I expected a lot from him and tbh he was a good stopgap, Rafa was expected to be good and was in his first 3 seasons but a lot of club politics and poor signings meant he had to go, but he's a legend for 2005 and rightly so. So your sweeping statement about our expectations are way off, hope and expectation are different and Klopp is more expectation than hope.
Is quite funny when they try and wum with an off the cuff comment and you can actually put a proper post together to prove them wrong
So with hind sight you can say all that rubbish You were expecting to win things with every single new manager its only natural....Klopp will be no different to the rest in trying his best to win things, I hope at last Liverpool have found a worthy manager as he has a good record in Germany and this is where he may have a problem adjusting to the premiership and the amount of foreign players in it. If he can adjust to the way British football operates and the speed we play the game then the chances of success will be greater. He is a bit flamboyant and brings Jesus into his everyday comments a bit like Hoddle as his faith means a lot to him and that is no bad thing at the end of the day......Good luck to Mr klopp who because of his name we should see some great headlines in the back pages which should be amusing........
What I expect is just to recognise a Liverpool team on the pitch again, a team that attacks and works hard. Short term that'll do for me.
Nothing this year apart from starting to see progress. A solid defence, robust and creative midfield and a few more goals in a style of play that fits the club. No more (or much less) square pegs in round holes, a dominant keeper with good distribution (sorry migs) eventually and a couple of top quality signings that buy into our vision....the latter will only come at the end of this season. Would love to sneak a top 4 place this season but would love to build a solid foundation first so that its sustainable. Football is about building a team capable of winning. Klopp has done this on a limited budget in Germany but he knows German football. He may take some time to settle here and we should allow him that time without the weight of expectation this season. Am looking forward to his tenure, knowing full well that nothing is guaranteed and only asking for consistent, progressive honest performances.
The mancs are trying to kid themselves that we all expect him to win everything in sight. I think they're just deflecting from the harsh reality that despite all of their predictions of glory for LVG and his massive spend (he spent about as much as BR in one third of the time ), they're beginning to realise that they should be a little more patient. I expect the ceiling in the dressing room to turn yellow. please log in to view this image But hope I'm wrong.
Happy with youth policy especially if there are experienced players in the team. It might take time with the youth to come of age, but if the team is not winning any trophy we have the danger of other clubs taking them off from us, e.g. Raheem Sterling. If you get the youth on a long time contract and they are playing football with the team or on loan to another premiership club fine. The policy certainly is not going to work if they are not playing football regularly. What do you think about "Youth Policy"?.
