I've tried looking at this question 'every whichway' as the Yanks would say.
I can only make 2 worthwhile comments. Firstly we need to increase our firepower. Whilst Rodgers appears to dislike a dedicated CF/striker, we are unbalanced without one. There are very few Premiership sides that will come to Anfield and open up. The Stoke experience will be the more common one. Now I don't know if we need either a Llorente or Fowler type of striker but we need one in January. Until then we either play Borini or Morgan in that role.
Secondly we need to add some maturity to the squad. Players who have at least 2-3 years top level experience to take the weight off the kids.
Agree with both points. The rumours about Walcott seem to be heating up a bit now (according to James Pearce from the Echo).
In reference to both points - I don't see Suarez as a natural striker, he's more of a number 10. We're relying on him for goals but we also have to remember that he's only 24/25. He's still learning and developing as well. Some of his decision making has been poor which I'm sure will improve in the future. This highlights the need for more top level experience and maturity.
