Usually takes 76 or 77. Lots of work to be done before we make that total, it's achievable though. Think we should be aiming for 80 though as the last playoff spot often goes down to final game of season. We don't want another lottery like that
With 70 points last season, 'Boror finished 7th. Blackpool and Cardiff made it with 75 points each in 5th and 6th place. In 2010/11, Florist made it with 75 points, Leeds United missed with 72 points. Seems like 75 may be the magic number, although Blackpool made it with 70 points 3 seasons ago. http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/DivisionalLeagueTable/
After 35 points from what has been a poor start to the season, we should be looking at averaging 2 points per game for the remaining 23 games, giving us 81 points. The team and squad is/will be better than it was in August, so no reason why we can't improve on our points haul from the first 23 games. Just have to hope 81 points is enough for auto
Have the new owners given you any idea how much there is to spend in Jan? I saw abit of the press conference where one of them said 'we won't be throwing endless amounts of money at it' or words to that effect, sounds like there gonna go the right way about it and not do a Leicester. It might be a similar situation to our own where the manager has cash available but they wont be held to ransom and try and get value for money (if thats even possible anymore).
I think you're right, they've said they're going to back Warnock (and they certainly seem to rate him) and try to get him the players he feels we need, but aren't going to be chucking endless cash at it and certainly not in January/
They haven't but how many club owners actually ever quote a figure of what's available for transfers. It wouldn't make business sense. I'd imagine the figure needs to be flexible as they wouldn't know yet what Warnocks targets will cost and gfh will probably have to adjust their figures to suit Warnocks shopping list. Believe me, it's a pleasant change for us to be talking about actually spending money in January without first having to sell a crown jewel or two
How can you be conmfused with 2020Vision? Anyway, do we care what kind of bike it is if he is on it and it is taking him away from us?
As for the presidency thing, I couldn't care less. He'll be we'll into his eighties by then. Prob won't be long before the passage of time will remove him from an position at the club
I hear that's what happened. I believe his current position is that he is an "honorary" chairman. Haigh and Patel seem to really want to underline that they are in charge, and from what I'm hearing of several interactions with both of them (fans interacting with the owners, that's new!), they are not impressed by bates behaviour at all and seem to be "playing along" to get the deal done.
Another lost soul wandering aroun the Leeds forum. Still you'll be welcome here. Had a look to see what div you're lot are in and it's not looking too good for you eh
Missed most of it, but a goal for Somma provided by McCormack wasn't too bad. Maybe Austin will return to the bench for the Hull game. Still only 2 pts off top 6 & 3 off 5th. Not a great day, but it could have been worse.
How did the mighty Barnsley do today? They must be knocking on the door at the moment .... just waiting for someone else to say it.
