Bloody hell you must have time on your hands to go back and dig this up again........I know Rangers are not up to much at the moment but would have thought there was more to speculate about, other than a goallkeeper who plays 400 miles away!!

Its almost certainly because events on southamptons not 606 board are a darn sight more interesting than the football they will have to endure for the next atleast 3 years! Enjoy: Alloa, East Fife, Stranraer and all them other fantastic footballing hamlets/villages/market towns.

It was funny when they lost to East Stirling. And GMI thought this team would be good enough for a European super league!

My dads side of the family are all protestants from Glasgow, I for one am loving this, some of their opinions on the club are absolutely ridiculous. They genuinely believe that they should apply for English football leagues, and naturally jump straight to the prem from scottish div 3 instead of teams who no one cares about, like Southampton or Wigan. Their words not mine. I send them a classic text each week to remind them what ground theyre playing at when theyre away, the attendance and our attendance:L Just makes match day that little bit more special!

I'm not usually one to stick up for Scottish football but I assure you that if the two Glasgow clubs were ever to get to the PL and if they were able to finance the grounds, both would easily eclipse Manure's attendances every week. The support up here is like nowhere else.

I think you'll find that fans in the old firm only turn up to the old firm games! I went to Ibrox to watch them them play the mighty Kilmarnock and the ground was nothing near full, to which they told me this is the case. They probably would attend the PL, but Glasgow is a huge city, considering how many teams play a high standard there.

I was questioning their teams quality. A side from Celtics miracle of a performance, where they could be mistaken for concrete or other immovable objects, or 'anti football' as some deem it, many southampton fans too. A team as 'big' as Celtic not to walk that league would be a joke, it would be like us not winning the conference. And they are far from walking it.

On top of this, why would they want to join our league, consdering they want to leave our fine nation! (a joke)

Sorry aha was watching the game. Glasgow is a massive city with 2 main football teams, and i dont know how many other proffesional teams but not many more. Compared to the Manchester Metropolitan area, a similar size, which has 10s of high level proffesional clubs, which will have much higher attendances than that of the Glasgow teams combined. So i don't think their fans are all that.

If you want to make comparisons with the Manchester Metropolitan area then you should look at the Greater Glasgow area and include Motherwell, Hamilton, St Mirren and many others. Incidentally, Scotland has one of the highest attendance rates per head of population in Europe (if not the highest).

Wow. Lovely stat there, fair enough i take it back! I was going on word of mouth but willing to accept this. On a side note, almost 1.5m spectators per week, thats amazing. We beat the other big footballing nations of the world like Germany, Spain and Italy!

It certainly is good, but don't get complacent. Faroe Islands are putting us both to shame. 10 percent!

Pleased to see that analysis of stats reveals that support in England covers a wide range of teams with only about 10% supporting the two largest teams (ManU/Arsenal).
