keep trying mate... i'll be good to you as you've realised you need to calm down now but still feel angry but you have to do better than that as a quip.
I like the question it's interesting but not really interested in the Spurs part so I'll comment on the question. What counts more? Playing Staff, Playing style, or pure confidence? It's hard to say what is more important as a balance of all three would be the ideal solution. In order for me would be Playing Style, the manager has to have an idea and be able to communicate that to the players and they have to carry those instructions onto the pitch without that starting point any team will fail no matter how good the players. After that it's difficult as a team full of good players but high in confidence can sometimes outshine a so called better team but a team full of stars can at times find that moment of skill that may break the other team down. I'm going to go for Confidence with Playing Staff last. So not a crap thread at all, it's an interesting opinion if anyone wants to get on topic.
Gotta say I'm not sure we should worry about other teams troubles when we've got enough of our own. The spuds bought good players but lost as many who were already settled in. New manager and played well at the weekend until Adebayor got a red. I didn't want AVB at Anfield but that doesn't mean he won't do well at Spurs. Its way too early to judge either manager yet.
fair enough luv... i thought about whether to put manager in as one option but thought playing style was dictated by the manager so picked it as one option. of course being on topic is always good.... which is why i guess if you took spain and put neil warnock or some such in charge you would see the playing staff constrined by tactics, confidence dip and those tight wins they always manage could end up draws like what we see in france's case... just as an example France in the euros failed utterly again but have the playing staff.... on the other hand we see examples of managers who are said to get the "most" out of their players and then more. kind of like what the media woud have us believe of Redknapp. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. confidence is a funny thing that is impossible to predict. I for one hope suarez is on a hot streak that will continue and him socring will pick up everyone at the club.
No because an own goal would still be them scoring, therefore if Carragher scored ten own goals it would make for a bloody game game to watch PS - I know and obviously I was too
It's a balance of all really. You could have talented players but if they lack the confidence or are playing in the wrong formation/tactic, then they will struggle e.g. Torres. Alternatively, you could have a great playing style and play with confidence but if you lack the players then you will only reach a certain level e.g. Swansea. Good balance of all 3 is the key to success (no sh1t sherlock).
well i suppose i can't argue with that, a matter of perception here. Might be like the 2-3 udinese game then. highly entertaining if crazy.
