everybody knows that the egg came first its common sense eggs existed before chickens although the koala bear is indigenous to australian continent yet actually has the same fingerprints (or closest) to human beings yet we (allegedly) are from apes yet apes and koalas never met????? when you look into the whole evolution 'theory' it actually has more holes than the King James bible and that is saying something!
In evolutionary terms it was the egg because egg-laying creatures were prevalent before the Chicken leg of evolution was formed, at some point a lizard egg spawned something more like a bird and such. In reality though have you ever tried to **** off an egg?
Actually the fingerprint thing is an example of evolution in action. Two species developing in similar environments even separated will eventually evolve similar characteristics due to the fact that those characteristics, while randomly generated, are the most useful ones. For instance if aliens exist you would still expect most of their species to have some mechanism for movement (legs), for balance (foot structure), for "seeing" what is around them (eyes, sonar), for digestion of complex food stuffs (mouth, teeth, stomach). Fingerprints are in the end simply there to aid grip, the pattern we have is a compromise between the best design for grip (individual hair like bristles) and a design that is easy to keep clean (smooth lines) to reduce infections.
I would say the egg came first. We know that chickens and birds evolved from things like dinosaurs, and dinosaurs layed eggs.. so eggs, surely? Now, if you were to say "which came first - the chicken or the chicken egg?" well that's a whole different kettle of fish.
