Was it Christmas Day today?

It was eventful. I'll say that. We were supposed be to be going to Amanda's today for Christmas. Spent last night wrapping up presents and taking them round to place by the Christmas tree ready for this morning.

Last night Amanda took her little boy (Harry) to her boyfriend's parents' for Christmas party/dinner. Had a great time but poor little thing had a serious asthma attack and was in hospital at 2am this morning. Amanda obviously stayed there all night; the wife took over this morning. Then it was my turn, then this evening I was joined by all to enjoy a Quick takeaway for a provisional Christmas dinner in the hospital. A Father Christmas visited the hospital this morning and brought Harry a Christmas present. All the nurses had Christmas hats.

In the middle of all this one of our horses appeared on the drive and we thought a load had got out. Fortunately, it was just a 30 year old New Forest pony and she couldn't wait to get back in.

Amanda and Harry will be spending another night in the hospital tonight.

We are hopeful that Christmas will take place tomorrow. There will be an early inspection in the morning.

Slight problem is that we had invited friends round for Boxing Day (they have been every year). So we have combined the two at Amanda's place (hopefully).

That does leave us with a spare Turkey.

Anyway, sorry to bore you all. It's been such an exciting day I couldn't wait to tell you about it.

Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas Day. Mine is still to come.

****. Just realised Amanda only has French TV which means I will miss the racing. Probably be watching about 1am on Thursday morning. Still, as long as little Harry is OK and is out for his postponed Christmas, that's all that matters.

Hope everything turns out well Ron. At a squeeze you could watch the racing on t'internet n'est ce pas?

Thanks Oddy. Have to be up early tomorrow to get the horses done so off to bed now. <cheers>

well here I am in the antibodies. Arrived on Sunday and by Monday morning was as sick as a dog. 24th and 25th was on water only - even dry ghosts did not stay down long. Flaming Qantas managed to misplace my luggage between Sydney and Albury. Thank goodness I 've been able to get online today (kindle fires are great!)
