First season of "Power" the show got a lot of hype. Season 1, 8 episodes. It was ok. Simmering. Never exciting. The show gets good rating, I'm guessing things escalate in season 2. Based on the first season, that was hard work to get through. Haven't decided if I'll carry on, but if I do, I need a good break first.

Homeland all the way for me at the moment. It is scarily closely accurate to the current crisis in Syria.

Started "The Missing" last night. Staring James Nesbitt. The first 2 episodes were fantastic.

One episode to go of "The Bastard Executioner"...I can see what people mean. Slating it a lot. It's not a thrill ride. I adored Sons Of Anarchy, and the writer has really struggled to follow it. Not unwatchable. Just slow, hard to follow, and Even with 1 episode to go, I don't know where he's going with it.

On the other side of the coin. 3 episodes to go of "The Missing" and me and the gf are loving it. Reminds me of a cross between: the feel and darkness of "Bron/Broen (The Bridge)" and the camera angles, shots and camera use of "Broadchurch". A good combination.

I missed 'The Missing' - slightly ironic!

Didn't like Broadchurch, but the latest series of 'The Bridge' is as good as ever. Saga is wonderful, I'd give her a 'non-erotic' hug any day. <ok>

Without going through the whole thread to check, has anyone watched "The Man in the High Castle", on Amazon video? I'm halfway through the first series and really enjoying it.

First season of Broadchurch was brilliant. The second season was utter crap for the most part. Think the final episode or 2 were the only good ones.

I think the third season of the bridge is my next solo watch after The Bastard Executioner. Can't wait.

1 episode of The Missing to go, we have loved it.

Not watched it yet, but is on my list. Seen it getting good reviews and a lot of hype (mainly because Amazon are pushing it so) The thing that put me off starting is the premise. For some reason, it sounds stupid to me. I will watch it at some point, but hasn't been high on my list.

What kind of a show is it? I imagine it as a slow moving drama, am I wrong? Is it a thriller, or action packed?

Completely agree with you on Broadchurch.

I would call The man in the High Castle a thriller, the overarching plot may develop slowly, but plenty happens to the characters, and it always seems to end on a cliffhanger. I think the show absolutely nails what 60's America would be like under Nazi occupation, and it certainly doesn't shy away from Nazi atrocities.

Interested to hear what you think about the final episode of The Missing.

Have to say I've never heard of half the things you guys are talking about - how do you find enough hours in the day to watch all those things?

Well....I don't know how the finale will go, but I think the revelation happened at the end of the last episode. There's a few details to clear up, but I'm pretty sure of the outcome. Which is strange. So either there's another twist (which might turn it stupid) or there isn't really much excitement to come. Even if the finale is a bit tame, I still think it was a cracking series of TV.

Aww, if you want any links or recommendations I'll sort you out! :emoticon-0105-wink: I work from early mornings, no breaks, so get home usually about 3-4, especially this time of year. I have early evenings and nights to watch what I like. I don't get out much <doh>
