I've obviously heard about it loads, but never seen it. Was actually thinking of finding it and giving it a watch this Christmas. Yesterday we watched Home Alone, first time in many years, and I still remembered it word for word from childhood! Also, last night, we watched the Bottom Christmas episode "Holy". Just perfect! Still makes me laugh out loud, that show, and I've watched each episode hundreds of times!
Jessica Jones. Very much like Daredevil, set in the same world and City, Very dark, and very entertaining. Surprisingly so, again, much like Daredevil.
See I really liked Daredevil but finding it hard to get into Jessica Jones. It's at a slower pace to Daredevil with less action, but I do like Kilgrave, he's a good villain and David Tennant plays him well.
I have 6 episodes to go, I agree some points are slow. I've found a couple of episodes resonantly were boring all the way through with a great ending. The last episode I just watched was brilliant though. Agree with everything you said about Kilgrave and Tennant.
Been using the Holiday time to tick off films I've not seen yet, as opposed to the TV Shows. Home - 6/10 Elf - 7/10 Kingsman: The Secret Service- 9/10 Guardians Of The Galaxy - 7/10 Stick Man - 6/10 Now watching The Maze Runner
Watched all of 'Making a Murderer' and not really sure if he was innocent or not, the whole trial was a shambles. Then to use a 16 year old kid with learning difficulties to manipulate into giving a statement they wanted was disgusting and really uncomfortable to watch. Overall it was interesting, but still trying to wrap my head around it all.
Had a lazy day today so finished off a few shows. Episodes series 4 - Great as always. Yonderland series 2 - Decent and now watching the Jessica Jones Finale. Been very good.
And that's season 2 of The Affair watched. Wasn't sure about this show in season 1 but it's really picking up now in season 2, the different perspective of characters is an interesting idea and something I haven't seen before.
I loved it! Was gutted when I heard it was a Victorian type one. Thought that was going to ruin the flow of the Sherlock story. Actually, they had their cake and ate it. I thought it was a good concept. Wasn't sure about the final 20 minutes or so. Still, over all I thought it was a very good concept.
I felt they ruined it by trying to be too clever. The multiple layers of drug-induced mind palace was taken a little far, good a concept as it was. In terms of plot development, they really only established one thing. It tried to be almost too self-referential for me, too aware of its fanbase.
