I was, ahem, a Liverpool fan at the time, much to the chagrin of my dad. He took the opportunity to get me down there for that game and I came away as a Ranger. Never looked back. Too painful... Did Falco score a volley that day or am I mistaken?
Falco scored, pretty sure it was a volley, great fist pumping celebration I remember We had one on loan from Hibernian i think, Paul Wright was his name who scored the other two. Have to tell my Liverpool pal you changed sides that day, he should have done the same

Thanks for the option of not giving my age but bugger it I am 57 and I work as a "mad scientist" in Oxford As Staines knows I am into slightly left-field music and love the Rs since I was 14 Born in Wembley, but got so excited about the World Cup, that my dad, a welsh rugby player, took me to see my first real match 1967 (Rs vs Birmingham) and so my second match was the Wembley Cup Final (see I said I was a glory hunter)...so hooked (lined and sinkered) from then on....only ever one team for me Had a season ticket from about 1973-1986 (got pregnant then) and now go whenever possible (got one of those 6match tickets) plus a few other matches when I can. I married a man who hates sport, have two girls who don't really care. So I live out my fantasies alone. Other things. Love Stan Bowles, Terry Venables....and can now be seen wearing A Barca shirt with the name Hughes on the back AND I HAVE JUST LEARNT I am going to be a volunteer driver at the Olympics....................vroooooooooooooooooooooom
Hey Shysqueeks, notice you are reading this thread and remember that you had a horrible first post experience with the general chat morons. Please feel free to join in, if you stick with the QPR board we are tough but fair and definitely not sick like those guys.....
I remember the game well. Top v bottom. 3-2. Glen hysen or whatever his name is jumped over alan macdonald to give us a penalty. Seaman made an unbelievable save from a close range header that was redirected at the last moment. My over-riding memory was a chorus of "come on you R's" that lasted more than 2 rounds. First time I'd ever heard us do that.
Ahhh Mark falco, I've got my QPR Golden Goals VHS tape somewhere and he seems to score a hatful in every game. Better times? Less commercial that's for sure.
Leamington Spa? worth visiting ? possible Spa weekend for Girlfriend's Birthday. I have just booked one in Buith Wells and looking for a second ... recommend the area?
No authority on the actual spa if that's what you are after DT, but it's a nice town, (bit like Cheltenham, very Regency), some good restaurants and you've got Warwick 5 minutes drive and Stratford on Avon 20 minutes if you are into theatre, Cotswolds 40 minutes to Stow. Some decent country house type hotels as well, and a couple of those up market B&Bs in town. Mind you I'd go mad if I didn't travel a lot for work. It's a little genteel and quiet for a Londoner who also lived in Hong Kong and Milan for decent spells.

Yeah good guy and who can forget his last minute screamer against spurs to win 1-0 in front of the loft. I couldn't breath for a good 30secs as I was crushed against the barrier...... Crikey I'm gonna go all nostalgic now as I just remembered his bicycle kick to help beat the Chelski 4-2! Happy days!
Have to get mine transfered to DVD somehow. Fantastic video Thinking about it that must be my favourite R's goal of all time!
Age 45, live in Stevenage. Have 2 kids both r's supporters, son is 19 comes to all home games with me and away games that we can afford. Stock manager for a drinks company and been engaged for 23 years.
oh all right then... Born Leatherhead 63 years ago in 1948. Brought up in Hampton. Became QPR crazy in 1974 when I returned to London from over 2 years travelling, and found myself living in Ladbroke Grove with the to be Mother in law feeding me the worlds best Rice, Beans and Chicken in the White City Estate before and after home games, and any time I was hungry! Stan was the man, and Givens scored the goals and for 2/3 years there was nearly only magic! I was a regular in the Loft from 75 to 82 when I moved here to Oslo. Perhaps the most memorable game for me was the the 82 FA Cup semi at Highbury when Clive Allen's knee sent me into the biggest celebration I ever had! Got back from Oslo for the final and replay. Have been getting back whenever since, but last season and this have been more exciting for me than anything since 82. I been marrried and divorced twice, and have 3 kids, who are all kinda R's inn their different ways!
SB73 I lived in Hong Kong too between 93 - 98 mate. Lived in Discovery Bay. Was at the china jump the night Gazza was in the dentists chair and ray parlour got nicked for beatng up a cabbie. No wonder they struggled to beat Golden the next day!
I'm 36, 5'9" tall with long blonde hair and classic hourglass shape. Been going to the r's every since my twin sister dragged me along. Sadly I have to travel alone now but always good banter with those around me. Currently work in the entertainment industry.
Age: 30 Occupation: Taxi Driver Location: Dublin Single and off the drink two years in April! (Was far too fond of the stuff!). Used to get over at least 3 times a season, we make it back to the Prem and low and behold I haven't been able to get over! We do seem to have all types of chaps on here and I must say, everyone seems to be sound as a pound (even Willy when he ain't in such bad humour )
