ncgandy, you are a star. Many thanks for posting that track I described, you certainly know your music kind Sir. +rep you when I can. Cheers!
I do love a good music session and tonight on the playlist as the neighbours are away will be:- Hi Infedility - REO Spedwagon Rumours - Fleetwood Mac Best of...... - Mott The Hoople Some ELO , Caro Emerald, Neil Diamond, Pink Floyd, Squeeze , Billy Joel and of course Dire Straits. I would love Local Hero to be our walk on music at CR but I guess that has been taken!
Unless you are a Pink Floyd fan, you probably have never heard this before. Try and blank out everything except the song, to get the best out of it. I've been watching Jools Holland for what must be 20 odd years by now, but I have never seen a performance quite as extraordinarily brilliant as Future Islands on Friday night, it was just incredible. The dude looks like a plumber, dances like a dad at a wedding and would appear to be possessed by the ghost of (the still very much alive) Tom Waits, but I think he might be my new hero. They're playing Shepherd's bush next month but it's sold out, tickets are going for a fortune and I refuse to pay money to touts anyway.
This is part of the soundtrack to my early life as a kid growing up.
