Colu_Mike, here's the full set - apologies if you've seen them already. Whitney Houston rocks http://www.thepoke.co.uk/2013/02/28/top-of-the-goats-the-goat-top-10-screaming-goat-music-videos/
For all you young shavers out there who think the first grey hair signifies senility. I have news for you. YOU'RE WRONG RBF, Maestro, there it is. You can never lose your grip on class. I can't even play one bass string as well as this guy plays five! https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=3_2Gg_Icbns
And if you like Antonio Carlos Jobim then you must love this https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ZGQyS2SSalA
That's excellent, Redruth. If more people on here listened to that, there would be less crazyness! Switched off Motley Crue, which was doing nothing for my blood pressure, and switched to this. Perfect accompaniment to a nice Château Richelieu (which I told Mrs Gandy cost £4.99 from Dereham Tesco) <pinocchiosmiley>
Tonight I've listened to the 'Vacines' now got 'Paloma Faith' going on, next up the Stones 'Grr' 3 disc set Mrs D bought me recently. Needed some music after watching that shower of **** playing the Taffs this afternoon! Almost like watching Norwich it was so bad!!!!!!
Give the old Taffs their due, they do enjoy themselves and the players play with a bit of pride. That Chris Ashton is the biggest poser who ever set foot on a rugby pitch.
This thread needs some more 60's psychedelia/garage... Here's Count Five with the classic "Psychotic Reaction"...
What this thread needs is some trance... Here's the Tidy Boys' mix of Heavens Cry "Till Tears Do Us Part" Seen the Tidy Boys drop this a few times, but never better than in the Poly tent at Global Gathering in 2006 at 3am, what a night that was... Enjoy...
Oh, so that's what trance sounds like, I was curious. Just a noise to me, I'm afraid. Very much a being there, in the moment, totally loaded, disengage the brain experience, where music takes second place IMO. Then, of course, I'm an old fart who rather likes a melody.
Fair enough. Well it's not really music though is it, other than in the broadest terms? I'm sure it's great if you're there and fired up. I DO remember what that feels like. I'd have been happy with just a drum beat on those occasions. I was lucky enough to grow up watching proper bands who could actually play a tune, not synchronised computer music. Don't think we'll ever be close to agreeing on this, Welly.
I'm trying to educate you in Dance Culture and you're proving to be a very difficult pupil... Ok, let's move from trance to hard dance, which was in itself a chronological progression, and more my kind of music... Here's one of the best DJ's ever, Tony De Vit, with his all time classic, "Are You All Ready"... More E, Gandy?
I am not a huge fan of dance/trance music, but I do appreciate there is talent involved in it and generally proper dance is mixed (if that's the word) on the spot. I am sure Northampton or welly will correct me if I am wrong on that. I am in to all sorts of music, but what I don't like about it is manufactured pop/ glorified karaoke which fills the radios these days. It's a sad sad age in music where money matters more than the story a album/song can tell, there are very few successful artists in music who I would consider musicians.
