This is one of my favourites, and a brilliant album, especially for a live one!

He's done dozens of his own albums, I'll get my mate to send me some when she gets home, her boyfriend is in hospital atm, so it may be a day or two!
 
Not crazy about the vocals, but musically it's nice. Would certainly like to hear some more.

Better than I can do, anyway. I bought a Gibson 'Les Paul' Gary Moore signature, but I was fleeced. Damn thing sounds nothing like him!
 
I appreciate many people on here probably don't like Oasis. They are quite a love and hate band.

But Noel Gallagher is a genius, I can't stand Liam. Who would be no one without his brother in my opinion.

For the past two months I've listened to little else but the new Dexys album. It's absolutely incredible, best thing I've heard in ages and well worth the 27 year wait. Kevin Rowland is my hero, an absolute maverick genius and I love the man, he's just brilliant <cheers>

Not sure about genius, maybe I'm just old, Ray Davies is a genius, but I agree about Liam. Can't believe people say he's a great singer, he's ****e. Saw him on the Olympic finale..wanted to slap him, horrible bloke.

Ray Davies is brilliant, I love the Kinks as well.

Really dislike Liam, but personally think some of Noel's songs are brilliant.

My favourite band is Beatles, (love Rolling Stones as well, before someone says they prefer them). And it annoys me how much Liam Gallagher tries to sound like John Lennon. Maybe why I dislike him as well.

Fair comment. I think most of my prejudice over Oasis is down to Liam. I will endeavour to listen to some of Noel's songs. Always kind of liked him anyway.
 
I used absolutely love Oasis, now when I listen to it most is as dull as dishwater, (particularly the Noel Gallagher vocals).

Most of it (not all) is just bland, generic, formulaic and just blatant rip offs of other songs.

I just can't be bothered to listen to it anymore.

I think Noel's album is brilliant. And the Oasis songs I like most are the ones with Noels vocals, don't find them dull at all, find it catchy. Liam's vocals are worse and would agree he is ripping off John Lennon/ John Lydon a bit.

Not sure how there blatant rip off off other songs though? They did copy the Beatles a bit admittedly but wouldn't say it was blatant rip off.
 
I know I'm a senile old git, probably cutting off my nose to spite my face, but I will NEVER EVER listen to anything involving either of the Gallagher brothers! Nasty, despicable apologies of the Human race!

Their stuff is riddled with it, and not just the Beatles, blatant riffs just copy and pasted.
