Fair point about the bank holidays. Interesting read my post about my pay. Your right. We probably are on a similar par.
I used to work in employment law and when the interpretation of the law changed (following a court judgement) from 20 days a year including bank holidays to 20 days a year not including bank holidays I was given the task of ringing around our clients to let them know they were obliged to give their employees an extra couple of weeks off a year. That was a fun few days let me tell you. PS. Courtesy of the EU by the way that lads. Just saying.
I don't know if it helps or hinders but my wife earns £15k+ more than the two of us combined. Sometimes wonder why I bother.
On topic: I dislike Boris and have done since before he was London Mayor. He's a smart man who was handed the best of education and connections through the epitome of white priviledge but tries to hide it with his "affable baffoon" act and tousled hair. I dislike what he says most of the time partly because i disagree with his political views but mostly because i don't believe he believes them, I think he'd run over his own children if someone advised him it'd get him votes. Despite all of that I agreed with almost everything put forward today. He's in an impossible position and seems to have got better at dealing with it. I wish some of his own party would stfu though and also that Labour had just mostly left it, there weren't points to be scored today.
You feel “on topic”? What’s a chocolate sweet/biscuit got to do with it? I don’t want to know about your sexual depravities.
Sensible cautious approach, which will hopefully prove to be the correct course of action in coming months. Opening up too early, will only result in countless unnecessary deaths, and lead to longer constraints. Which is fine, if you believe in survival of the fittest, as many Tory MPs seem to.
Now come on, not all of us are stupid enough to listen to firefighters during a fire, some of us have common sense.
I realised that my best option for getting vaccinated would be to come back to UK for it when my letter arrives, hopefully within next few weeks. As I didn't want to stay 12 weeks I contacted NHS to ask whether I could wait till most of my age group were ready for Jab 2 and then have both within a 3 week period. Answer was a resounding no as that wasn't SOP even though its what vaccine producers originally recommended. Anyone know whether two jabs are identical. If so I guess I could just hang around vaccination centers looking for missed appointments.
Don’t encourage him, he’s already tried in America. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-florida-women-elderly-priority-b1804548.html
