Teachers are paid a pittance. So no you have not seen how much we get paid. On average I do a 50 hour a week 54 weeks a year and I haven't even included the work I do during the holidays. I get a ****ing **** pay for what I do
And that's what I'm paid for. Yet I do over 50 hours work averaged over 54 weeks in a year not including the work I do in the 13 weeks "holidays". Do the maths

this is totally true mind. I know from personal experience. I used to joke to the wife about her ‘long holiday’ In The summer and then she got me to work out her pro Rata hourly pay. It was piss poor. Teaching is about doing something that you love and seeing the kids develop. Not about perks or cash. I respect all teachers: I’d not have the patience, i’d tell them to **** off.
