Mother in law down and is going to Silverstone with her brother. She’s purchased some nice steak for dinner. What she didn’t realise is that I am off to football to watch Northampton v Crewe, so I won’t be cooking and I’ll orobably have had a beer or two too many. Not something I usually do around football, but it’s off to see Arsenal/Liverpool after down the working men’s club.

If nobody hears from me for a while, don’t worry, I’ll be in the dog house (or hen house in our case)

Ikan goreng (fried fish - dorado). Its been marinating in a homemade coriander, ginger, garlic turmeric and chilli paste. There's a crisp white chilling in the fridge, Palm beer open, streaming rugby, SA looking useful should have buried the game by now. Must keep Mrs Jab's glass topped up. England looking better now at 9-8, 20 minutes left.

Just had the most delicious monkfish and tiger prawn Thai curry at the Mermaid Restaurant in St Ives, one of my favourite eateries.

That sounds pretty good to be fair, can’t say I’ve ever tried monkfish before though.

Monkfish is delicious, very firm but creamy, tastes a little bit like scallops.

Mentioned on other thread Gino D'Acampo crab linguine with garlic, tomato and chilli. Absolutely lovely. Took 15 minutes to cook too. Was going to have a roast, but painting a room, so didn't have time to prepare. Every cloud eh :)

We had a Strip loin steak seasoned with salt and pepper. A twice baked potato and broccoli. Bloody tasty!
