No, very much the opposite, Citra has a nice refreshing front taste but the very dark hoppy taste is not to my liking! <cheers>

I was working this morning getting things ready for the 40th Norwich Beer Festival, so popped to watch the game at the Angel Gardens where I had a lovely roast pork lunch for a mere £6 - all washed down with a few pints of JHB. They have a range of roasts priced at £6 for a small portion of meat, £8 for more meat and an extra Yorkshire Pud and if you really want to pig out - it will cost you £12 per person. Booking is advisable!!
Don't forget it's the Beer Festival starting on Monday -

Sounds good, hopefully we can actually see a home win although I've already told my sheep copulating workmates that it'll almost certainly be 0-0

    Bah!

I can't believe yet ANOTHER McDonalds restaurant is opening on the outskirts of Norwich and this from Kenny the franchisee - "I am delighted to be opening my eleventh restaurant here,” he said. “It is fantastic to be able to continue to contribute to the area’s economy and I am looking forward to getting to know all my new employees and customers."
Perhaps he should've added OBESITY in there as well. <laugh>

If people want to eat that utter crap then that's their preogative. There are so many better options out there, not all as cheap granted but you could still get a good sausage, chips and peas with a can of pop for similar money from the chip inn long stratton and that' much better!

    Bah!

But then Scrapping up a maggoty 17 day old roadkill badger and having a munch on that is better than a big Mac.

Believe it or not, other food outlets are available.
Anyway, if it's that good, why has it not been shortlisted for awards...like No 1 chippery, Cromer? <whistle>

I used to work in the Duke of Wellington on Waterloo Rd and the Angel Gardens was 2 minutes from there. Very well cooked food and incredibly good value for ££ <ok>
Pan-fried liver and onions was a fave of mine, spot on every time.

I know, I do eat and occasionally comment on Thai food too! What do these judges know anyway, they shortlisted the Grosvenor and that place is just over hyped average fayre.

    Bah!

Of course, like music or art, all very subjective - you only have to read some of the polar opposite views on a place via Tripadvisor to see the spectrum of emotions at work.

Can't believe you've not visited the Duke, JM fan, as far as I know they have Oakham ales on most of the time, plus 15+ more <cheers>
