To be fair even if the sites IP checker was working as intended it's really not at all difficult to hide behind a false IP..

My current IP(I'm using a VPN)is downtown Buffalo New York, but I'm really in Huyton.

...my previous job was with one of the big 4 accounting firms ... couldn't put lottery tickets on using the laptop they gave me as the IP address put me out of the country due to where their servers were located ... could do it fine on the phone they gave me mind ...

There is that too. It's pretty easy to use a proxy. I used to do it when I worked for the NHS as for some reason not606 was on their restricted site list

brb confirmed that the IP checker gives useless info.

It's obvious what's occurred here, and I'll let you discuss it on the mods board, as it's never right that an admin has given out information that he knows is bollocks but intimated that it's accurate, based on his own agenda

To be honest, most of the conversations on the mod board should stay there. But even the mods will tell you that the IP checkers give completely erroneous information. Partly due to the fact that IP addresses change, partly due to the fact that different devices generate different IP addresses, partly because some people use proxy's etc. It's a completely unreliable way to assess whether somebody has another account.
