La Canna was a good one, i still have beer mats from la canna and bulldog on my table from my very 1st trip

there was one near area 51 which was famous for having a pure white cat that sat on the bar all day chonged to ****, cant remember the name now

and it deffo lost its "soul" when the euro came in, also the amount of coffee shops & red light district has shrunken to near nothing compared to the gelder days, you used to go in a shop and actually chat to the guys working about the weed and whatever and it was a really good welcoming vibe pretty much everywhere, now the ****ers wont let you in without ordering a 7euro coffee just to look at the menu ffs :(

Spot on <applause>

It was actually a ****ing cultural and social experience. You'd just wonder in, look at the menu and have a chat to the bloke/woman behind the bar. Talk about which gear was good, the effects, where it was from, what the locals smoked, even what the seller himself was smoking. Bob Marley muriels across the walls. You might stay have a hot choc or coffee or you you might take away. Atmosphere was very welcoming.

@Spurlock just avoid the grasshopper mate. Full of English nobheads that can't be arsed to look for the local coffee shops.

I always go to the back streets and alleys <ok>

Not been for about 6 years though!!

I think we all deliberately avoided saying that one. We used to head down to the narrower canals and check out the ones that looked like basements where you had a few steps leading down.

Or at night go to the more contemporary ones that were quite minimal and lit up and usually run by someone from manchester who'd emigrated there back in the 80's or 90's and set up there! I think I discovered zero zero in one of those places back in the day.

Back now.....avoided all the mainstream places...as you say Sky..full of ****ers...from here. Found a few backstreet ones and stuck to them..locals just go in and chill...was cool.

3 days...more than enough. Caught the Spurs game at the Airport....well done on hitting the summit...nobs.
