I don't want to ruin Spurlocks amazing thread....

But

@PISKIE posted this

"HIAG will be up for it as he'll want to make amends for welching on this bet.

So that's HIAG v ?

@Skylarker maybe ?"

I'll do it. Not sure what it is, but I'll do it.

Good man, that's the spirit. <ok>

I'll post up the thread and the rules in a bit.

Whatever the rules
whatever the bet
whatever the forfeit
whatever the ignominy of bottling
hiag will Welch

there are 3 certainties in life:
death
taxes
And hiag will Welch

HIAG wouldn't dare bottle this one, after his abject humiliation from welching on our bet :)

ive been gone a week or less, Haig has bottled another bet? fill me in oooer

But I did. I'm in the process of honouring it.

I have changed my avatar. That was the essence of the bet.

You didn't honour the terms of the bet to change to the agreed avatar.

You can say what you like but we all know that you are a Welcher - change avatar to agreed one for next month and be man and not a weasel

Three cliffs looked resplendent this morning PISKIE. A decent looking wave at Pobbles too.

Lost seven balls this morning. ****ing seven.

You golfers are a mystery to me. How is it fun?!

A few years ago I took 60 clients to Celtic Manor. It was October, the ice rain was horizontal and it took them 6 hours to get round the 2010 course. They ****ing loved it.

Six hour golf isn't fun at all. I went round in three and three quarters today and it was off our 'championship' tee's. In other words, as long as they can set it up.
Admittedly we were only a two so went round quickly but anything longer than four hours fifteen minutes tops isn't on.

It's infuriating difficulty is what makes it fun. Very testing.

I don't go out there for pure enjoyment anyway, every weekend comp I enter I set out to win. Pissing around with your mates on a golf course and having a 'laugh' is **** and pointless.

They would have been out there longer if the pro hadn't said they had to play off the yellow tees instead of the championship tees which is what they wanted to do.

I've never finished 18 holes. The closest I've got is being stood on the 18th tee of a course in Portugal. It was roasting hot and I hooked my drive into a building site. The prospect of looking for the ball and finishing the par 5 was too unappealing so I called it a day and went for a pint.

Where I lived in Surrey, we were pretty high up. The local golf course was right at the top. You could drive past there on a day when the rain was coming in buckets, and the wind blowing it horizontally, and some twat would be out there trying to knock a golf ball about. You couldn't even see, ffs!.

Go figure.....
