9 he got into football quite late. Wasn't interested at all. He watched us lose to Sevilla in the Europy and he was hooked, started playing and everything. He's a hot head though I've had to threaten to stop him playing as he's getting into fights.
He's the opposite to my oldest who played for Cardiff and Swansea when he was younger.

Can't wait to take my lad. Already loves the badge and shouts 'Suser* Saints' whenever he sees it... and kisses the one on his/my shirt.

Also sings oh when the saints and loves watching the video on my phone from the San Siro.

How old would you (and others) reccomend him to be for first game?

*Can't say super <laugh>

I'd say six at the earliest.

My lad is seven and he took it all in well.

I took him to see his local team a few times last season (when six) and 75 minutes seemed to be the standard.

He's been to both United and Swansea, plus Wales, this season and lasted the full match no problem.

Yeah took my oldest to Anfield when he was 6.

6 <yikes>

Don't know if I can wait that long... he's only 2 now. I've always said I'll be one of those Dads who takes them way too young and it will probably be the first time I leave a game early.

I was thinking around 4 but may have to re assess :(

I first took the bairn when she was 5, it was a disaster, she didn't have a clue and celebrated when the other ****ing team scored.

She's 12 in a couple of weeks and absolutely loves it now, she plays for the school and a local girls club. She sussed it from being about 7/8 year old.

Your eldest played for both teams? Bit like Denis Law and Ptr Brdsly.

There was a bloke behind me yesterday, his boy was about four.
Spent half the time back and forth the toilet/'shops'.

Plus, they're unlikely to remember it properly.

My first United game, I was eight. It was a long, long time ago but i still remember all the goalscorers.

We lost three nil too!!

Stan Jr was 6.

United 3 v Fulham 2.

They scored early, RVP got his first for United, only one goal in it...but he still started to switch off after about an hour.

So the family have now decided they want to get a Shih Tzu.

Stan Jr is only going along with it because he likes saying ****!

The ****ing enormous lab and the little **** will look ridiculous together.

Just make sure you don't leave 'em together when the Lab hasn't been fed!...

My nine year olds only been interested in footy for about 6-8 months. He's sports Barca, Man City and Liverpool in that order!

I treated the family to a slap up meal at Harvester. Mrs HIAG had a voucher for 40% off main courses. We saved £20.

What did I have to eat?

I had the 10oz sirloin (medium rare) with a red wine and mushroom sauce. Thanks for asking.

Was goose not an option?
It was a Euphemism for being called out and running off with his tale between his legs. There was no meal....he's a liar Through and through. I'm surprised he didn't claim a helicopter took him to harvester so he could redeem his 40% off voucher....big shot. <rofl>
