The amount of food thrown away is barmy. Particularly fruit and veg. Drives me mad.

I like to make bread on a weekend. Better than the supermarket stuff. Last nights loaf was polished off this morning by first up in this house. I had a doorstep with half a jar of raspberry jam on it for brekkie. Lovely. My edlest had the rest as beans on toast - enough for two the gutsy sod.

Aye exactly. Pasta sauce I made last night has 4 ingredients and is really tasty.

Making a mince pie for work this week and off to get baking ingredients today for the kids to make sweet treats while I watch the match.

Not arguing but the range of bread available in stores and bakeries, i would never dream of home baking.

Unless you're buying artisan bread for £3.50 a pop, you're missing out not making your own mind.

Down in the dumps today. Had some rubbish personal news this afternoon. Using this little village for company tonight as all the family out and couldnt not be.

Sadly I have a large malt in hand. I am quite weak on that front. Happily I have a tin of tomato soup on the hob and have some french stick. Class food imo.

Hitting the sack after. Tomorrow a new day.

    Love to all.

Was in the pub the other night in a group of about 8, for some reason or other one said you can cook a soft boiled egg in the airfryer in 7 mins, my reply was whats wrong with in a pan of water,
reply came back, time it takes the water to boil then the egg its quicker in the airfryer.
me, not if you load the pan from the hot water tap.
    no answer, subject ended.

The clue is in the name really.
Air fryers have their uses, but boiling eggs isn't one of them.

Mediterranean vegetable pasta tonight the quick way. Tray of shop bought veg roasted until almost done, add a jar of pasatta then when heated through stir into boiled penne. Into a bowl with a sprinkling of Parmesan shavings (bought in a tub ready shaved). Served with a side salad (yep shop bought).

    **** off Gino D'acampo.

I used to love rissoles, which would be made starting with putting the leftover end of a Sunday roast through the mincer, which I used to get to turn the handle on. You never see them pre-made these days though, and I can't find a recipe that matches uip to how I remember them.

I should have added the person who started the air fryer thing also said the Mags could build 80,000 seater stadium on Leazes park.
    They really are abnormal.

    What is your favourite taste?

This evening I have been out and harvested my first chilli crop this year. Another one end of October to come.

I dedicate a whole greenhouse to chillis. Everything from championship heat, to salad fruits.

To me Chilli is my all time favourite taste. So many varieties and tastes, but life without a touch of chilli would be less of a life for me.
