And should we be able to sign the likes of Canas, Aspas,Lukaku and a top class centre half a la Caulker or Lescott among others then I predict next season could be even better for us
After Lukaku's hat trick on Sunday I doubt very much Mourinho is going to let him back out on loan. If they do keep him and with the changes for the 2 Manchester clubs I reckon they could well challenge fo rthe title.
Im not saying the season has not been a success am i......Im saying that we have finished in relegation mode and its a big worry on how laudrup and the players can state in the press every week how they must improve but do nothing about it...that is a big worry for me how we have tailed off so drastically and you have to point your finger towards laudrup and not just the players....we are only as good as our last game so the early games when we were playing better football is our Savior because if we had to rely on our second half performances then we would be in trouble... These questions must be asked because if laudrup is having difficulty in being able to motivate the players then it dont look good for next season does it.....I dont know if im right or wrong but i have seen others with the same concerns and it worries me slightly....
Your not saying the season has been a success either!! In actual fact I have yet to read a positive end of season post. A new season brings with it a new beginning, new players and for ML a seasons worth of experience. he gets to start all over again. The season is 38+ games long, I dont understand the ifs and buts viewpoint at all. IF we won our first 15 games and therefore guaranteed safety with 45 points in December and then went on to lose all of our remaining 23 league games you would be up in arms, however if we strung out those same 45 points throughout the season which consisted of maybe 3 or 4 unbeaten runs evenly separated by losses would you feel as disappointed? Reading your posts I am guessing you would feel better about that situation. Yet the end product would be the same, same points tally, same position. The bottom line is we are not a top 6 club and therefore whenever we go on a good run we will inevitably balance that out with an equally bad one whether that is at the beginning middle or end of the season otherwise we would be champions. I have total confidence in the fact that ML can identify who he needs and what he needs to do to sustain survival in what is arguably the toughest league in the world. I base this on what I have seen him do through tactical changes in games THROUGHOUT the season ( not all good but certainly most), the fact we are now more attacking and his post match appraisals. I am not a ML fanboy either, but this guy does know more about his chosen profession than I do and although not all results have gone our way, heck I will agree that some of our performances have been dire and he needs to shoulder the blame along with the players for that, he has to have the credit for what we achieved. One last point, as I said earlier, last season we finished our last 9 games in the same relegation form, that had zero bearing on how we started the following season. So the adage of your only as good as your last game means nothing. That is a throwaway idiom in the same mold as half the other sporting adages that pundits throw out. I respect your opinion but lets keep a bit of perspective and not exaggerate our point with words like drastically and Saviour etc If Ifs and buts were candy and nuts..............

I thought this forum was about opinions, comments and debate I stated mine and supported it with my observations of the whole season. I accepted and respected your opinion and clearly stated that and not once have I said your wrong or tried to change your mind just presented an opposite view. I was obviously mistaken in thinking I could do this freely without judgement. Your response is that I dont understand what a forum is about you support this with name calling (pathetic) and insults. I was merely using one of your points that we are only as good as our last game and our poor recent form doesnt bode well for the new season (give him 6 games next season I think you said) as having no foundation in fact or reasoning and supported that with our poor end of season form last year. Your over use of childish emoticons and the word fact (of which I am sure you have no idea of its actual definition)only proves the theory that we judge people on how we see ourselves as you stated in your above response (childish your words not mine). To that end I will no longer entertain the idea of having a mature debate with you as you seem to denigrate into simple insults too easily.
