^ Very nice, hope it happens, and if Ireland still isnt fit by then I would just send him back and cut our losses tbh.

Same to be honest. I don't know were Ireland would fit into that team as he's a AM but can play box-to-box so maybe put him in with Barton and leave Guthrie on the bench!

I want to see Ireland play though.. just at least once!

  4. Actually we are doing nothing of the sort Sanchino.

Ferguson was by far the best player on the pitch yesterday, and i stand by what i said that his style of play at the back is much better than Enrique's in this league.

Ferguson won't try to play the ball out of danger and have us under pressure all the time, because he'll clear the ball away and get rid of the danger. Enrique is hot headed and thinks he can skin everyone.

Ferguson has the right idea, don't try and skin players at the back, do it when going forward. Ferguson, in the future, could be a better player. Enrique is better at the moment, but there are things about Ferguson that i like better.
If Ferguson keeps up the level of his performances, i'll have no worries about trying to get a replacement LB or having a threat on that left wing.

Fergusons deliveries aren't as good as Enriques, or as consistant, but he can improve if he gets more time.

Agree.. although if Enrique does go I'm not sure I'll have him as a LB, he seems more of a LW who can track back and help out defensively(sort of Guti-style).

But he was definitely our best player yesterday and those dribbling/tricks that he did to get pass those Stoke players was fantastic.. more of that please :)

I'm just saying we shouldn't over-hype Ferguson just yet.

  6. We're not overhyping him, we're just excited at a young prospect, and i agree that i'd prefer him at LW, but he'd do a decent job at LB.

The rest of the team played ****, imagine if he gets a decent game when everyone elses is playing well? He would have had 1-2 goals yesterday.

Yep, this is the team i'd like to see.
I'm not trying to build Ferguson up to be the next Messi and I doubt he's reading this message board to hear all the excitement

Exciting young prospects eh? How about LuaLua, Vuckic and Ranger? and obviously Ferguson.. we could potentially have a core of youngsters there that will be our future!

Donaldson, Inman, Folan, Ameobi(young), Airey, Kadar, etc.. all could make the grade.. the future's looking bright, it's looking black & white :)

  9. Lua Lua hasn't played a game the PL but looks good, Vuckic has looked **** to me, and i've done nothing but praise Ranger.

But Fergson, to be honest, looks more like being a success at the top tier to me, based on what i've seen. Ferguson is a beast.

Ferguson has excited me the most out of our younguns by far.

How can you make these judgements? He played in a back 5 and wont have the confidence to try and skin someone like Enrique does when its his big chance, coming on as a sub. If he got a run of games we might see that he loves ****ing about at the back.

Also how can you comment on his consistency after 2 games, both as a sub? Bear in mind his crossing will not be good for the first few games, every match he's played before recently will have been on a much smaller pitch, he needs to adapt to putting more power and swerve into his crosses. (And if you look at the 4-3 Chelsea game he put in a sweet cross for Shola for one of the goals.)
