Another terrible performance, Shawcross has had it in my opinion. I can't wait for this season to be over. Absolutely **** performances.
As I said earlier Ricc..you never fully recover from a operation on your spine/back. Even if you are/were a super fit footballer/sportsman. Nice to see Herr Huth get his medal...hope Hughes was watching...just shows what a pair of solid old fashioned CB's can achieve eh!!
yep totally agree, all of this rubbish about wanting CBs to bring the ball out is garbage. All I want form my CBs is to stop goals and do a 10 yard pass to a creative player. Huth is probably the best CB in the prem...........................and we let him go. Our young keeper looks pretty poor too, we need Butland back
The other thing is Ricc, if we are scoring goals or at least threatening to do so, it takes a lot of pressure of our increasingly fragile.non existent defence. Needs sorting out before next season, or....
Just seen MOTD highlights: A nice move for the first goal and Arnie really should have scored towards the end. Once again a game we should have got something from, even a win, but defensively we were poor again, no strength in the tackle and slow to respond to danger. A poor 2016.
I agree, the common misconception is that a CB has to either smash it into the opponents box or dribble with incredible "tekkers" into the oppositions half? Its Neither! A CB's primary job is to eradicate danger and protect the keeper. Their second job is to win the ball and distribute to either a fullback or a holding midfielder - that's a simple 10 yard pass - nothing more. Why the game has to be made overly complicated is beyond me?
didn't expect to get anything from the last 3 games Shawcross looks like he has been brought back to soon.
Oooh coming from an ex RAF type, that's a bit rich!! Anyway I am not ashamed of my feminine side. Indeed on a Friday night I go by the name of Nicola. But don't tell anybody
Nick, I think I might have seen the photographs, You were the posh one with the tattoos spelt correctly.
Just back from the match, after a pint on the way home, and what I want to say on this thread is that Ryan was man of the match, and his foray forward into enemy terri tory, ( I don't like typing tory ) lead to a goal for us. Just saying, as most posts on this thread seem to be writing him off.
Not writing him off KKB...just saying that it is extremely difficult to cone back at 100% after a bck operation. Brought back too soon.
I'll agree with the back too soon and I hope he makes a full recovery, Sparky must have thought that he needed him with the other injuries, we need a better defence with Wellshite as tea boy.
