you refuse to look at the season as a whole. We were the 2nd worst team to finish the the worst season since the premiership started and we reached safety pretty early due to the poor sides that were at the bottom half of the league. we gained safety and the league cup where we ends up playing a 2nd division club still playing our brand of football that was NOT down to laudrup in any shape or form.....We started to go down hill after the final when laudrup started to change the way we played and that was the middle of last season...So go and check on how much he has dragged us backwards from that point to the present and it dont look good.....you are crediting him for something that he never did and was already there. try looking at HIS results...
Exactly time to move on. We have two important games coming up, so we all now need to focus on these games.
Yes your right and thank god we never had to rely on our second half performance when the changes were made...
You should still be banned Dai,at least until your Brain grows back How are we now talking about the same old **** over again? brenden v laudrup etc,etc Surely the only measuring stick is the league position right ?
I don't agree with the posters who wanted players to clear off, and to be honest, I didn't take that as an over reaction from them as more of a view to laugh at or ignore, as it carried no validity to the issues we have at present. Regarding Dai's continues call for a change of manager, I see this too in the same light, a view that is far too extreme given the current situation, and I'm sure there will be some intensive focus from our board and coaching staff from here on in to the end of the season, and those players with slack hands in the squad will without doubt be weeded out!....................
Really? After the whole of the season we finished 9th. If you really want to break the season down then Laudrup had a tremendous first 2/3 of the season and a poor final 1/3rd. What you're trying to do is ignore all the good he did and concentrate on our performances in games that were relatively meaningless (after he'd won us the cup and got us to safety).
but didnt Brenda manage a losing Swansea team at his only home derby game though? Big picture or little picture, Dai is like a stuck record at times.
