    Hard luck Hornets.

I went yesterday, it wasn't the best of games, in the first half it looked like neither team really wanted it, but Palace turned it on a bit in the second(it's a shame you lost Vydra so early). It still could have gone either way, but if I was a betting man, I'd have had my money on Zaha getting a penalty(at least it was one this time).

Zola is indeed a class act.

    Good luck next season. <ok>

It would be almost worth responding to him just to see his ever increasingly desperate attempts to wind us up - funny to think we have come to terms with missing out in about 24 hours but they are still smarting after all these years :)

I still like the play off system - despite being third and missing out - if someone suggested automatic 3 up next year I would not vote for it

Nothing ignorant about what I wrote Hornet-Fez, all said in harmless jest!

Leonardo, my friend I know nothing of your situation and certainly mean no harm. It is getting that you are now afraid to say fug all with tongue in cheek these days, as the reader's are not always skilled enough to understand the humour!
    All the best pal!

Unlucky lads, Watford deserved to go up over the course of the season - you came 3rd, it made sense that you should be the third team to be promoted.

Good luck next season Lads. <ok>

I think that I definitely would vote for it because if teams come down to the last few games of a season knowing that it's irrelevant whether they finish 3rd or 6th then it must mean less competition. A mad scramble for that 3rd place could be very exciting, and I don't find it fair on either us or Brentford knowing that we were the better Team over 46 matches - in short, it sucks.

At the start of the season I was expecting a bit of a messy squad and a messy season with a manager I wasn't confident in and overpayed players who wouldn't care while fan favourites like Doyley would be lucky to make the bench. My target was 10th to at least prove that sacking Dyche was justified. Although Dyche still doesn't deserve what happened to him, the season has been so much better than that, not just in terms of the league position but in the manner we have played.

Some negatives, but that is for a proper end of season reiew thread. Its just so frustrating to finish 3rd and not go up, and for Saracens to finish top of the table and somehow not be Premiership champions!

I thought he and Manu were immense yesterday, neither deserved to be on the losing side!

i can't see Doyley going at all. He was fantastic yesterday, as he has been for much of the season. Yes, he still makes the odd gaff, who doesn't?! I'd hate to see him lose his place, he definitely justified it yesterday.

Fair enoughsky, Masked Man. Leo has already put me right. I do have the wit to tell the tongue in cheek from the facetious but the trick is to show that the tongue remains in the cheek... Not fighting Leo's battles for him he's perfectly capable of standing up for himself in these parts. Shorter fuse than usual yesterday, can't think why!<whistle>

A fantastic season, no matter the result yesterday. The script was almost written that it would be two loan players that won the game for them...

Still, there is so much to be positive about (or Pozzotive, as H wild say). The Pozzos will push us on even more. Hopefully we will sign most of the guys permanently, with a few additional players to push us to the next level.

    The future's bright....

Funnily enough Fez - I think my first communication with Masked Man was one of my nuclear responses - can't remember why but he probably did not acknowledge that Watford is the true centre of the known Universe - and then we settled down to good old banter - feel sorry for him - he has to watch those awful boring Premiership matches next year while we can enjoy toasting the likes of Leicester and Leeds again
