A Muslim Rangers supporter who chanted sectarian remarks at a game at Ibrox Stadium has been fined £600.

Abdul Rafiq, 41, the only Muslim member of the English Defence League, was arrested at Rangers friendly game with Chelsea on 6 August.

Defence lawyer Ashley Kane told the court: "Mr Rafiq is a member of the English Defence League, as a result of his membership to this and him being the only Muslim member of the organisation he does stand out."


You can say that again <laugh>
 
Would you look at that he gets fined yet some poor 17 year old boy gets remanded (because hes obviously a saint) this **** is more evil than the 17 year old clearly yet no sign of remand for him - curious indeed.
 
This demonstrates that Rangers make welcome people from a broad church.
This man feels very aggrieved as he feels his chanting was very mild and not aggressive compared to those around him.
 
This must be the same ****, different name though but that doesn't count for **** when it comes to asians.
