It was an irrelevant question, no-one is obliged to answer you. Anyway, you have been given an answer, just one that doesn't satisfy you. Have you ever seen "Outnumbered"? It feels like that- trying to have a conversation whilst being constantly harangued by attention- seeking chlildren.
    Only without the humour.

    By asking a question <wah>

I even tried to change the subject and get back to discussing the original article a few posts back but KPR has bought the argument back to this. You all ruined "your" thread by making an argument out of nothing, not me. Well done.

Except the little girl in Outnumbered is incredibly smart (and funny) for a girl her age. The kids aren't given scripts so everything they say is made up, which makes it all even more impressive.

Except that you haven't been trying to have a discussion about the article have you? No, you have concentrated on slating me and causing a pointless argument instead.

The reason why the OP never mentioned Man U and Arsenal is because obviously they are currently stronger than us.So there is no need whatsoever to ask such a question unless you are going to start an arguement.Man United have more experience, which is obvious,Arsenal have more flair, they don't have our back-bone or do they have a back-bone to the standard of Chelsea's,City's or Man Uniteds.
A balanced debate is one when you can pick out the strengths and weaknesses of your club and a rivals, and not just the rivals.Only an idiot would say his club has no weaknesses. But Man United fans say on here ''We have no weaknesses because we're Man United and we're the champions'' so there.
If Man United don't have weaknesses, they may and this may have put up more of a fight against Barcelona. Before anyone says Barcelona didn't have weaknesses, they did...They had a midfielder playing centre half and their other centre half is good, but lets be fair not great.

Thank you. If someone had just provided an answer like that instead of making a stupid argument out of nothing then this article wouldn't have been ruined.

Ofcourse we have weaknesses, our central midfield isn't good enough which the majority of Man Utd fans I have spoken to recognise.

People were already ridiculing me before I posted that <doh>

Still trying to continue the argument rather than discussing the article, whilst complaining that I'm the one ruining this article by asking a question <doh>

The OP wrote an article intended to discuss the positive changes that have happened at our club over the last year. Included in it was a passing mention of some of the obstacles to success we may encounter. He happened not to mention Utd because, as has been frequently pointed out, Utd are not constantly uppermost in our minds. It goes without saying that Utd, with their undoubted quality, will continue to stand in the way of our success, along with others. Utd will, for the foreseeable future, will be difficult to ignore.
But not as difficult as their bloody supporters.

    I have one request.
Start debating and stop arguing or I'm closing the thread.

You question was answered way back several times but you have ignored them because you need the attention.

Anyway, back to subject we started with...

The difference is clearly massive. When Hicks and Gillet were in charge, we were worrying about the looming deadline for the debts and wondering what would happen to our club. We were linked with mid-table players and hoping they would get us back challenging for the top 4. Hodgson came in (At first, I thought he would be able to steady the ship) and results didn't go our way and we were struggling massively. He then lost his job after the new owners came in and the owners appointed King Kenny. Results improved and we brought Suarez and Carroll. This showed the intent from the new owners. They are prepared to put significant money into the club to buy the best players that can move us forward. Henderson came in and shows how the owners want to invest in the best, English talent so we can move forward in the long-term.

Let's hope we can keep moving forward. <ok>

Actually I tried to get back to discussing the original article while you and a few others tried to continue this pointless argument instead by posting more comments aimed at slating me, which I responded to.

Maybe if you stopped trying to continue this argument people could get back to the discussion.

Look mate, we're finished now. Argument over, stop trying to have the last word and just leave it.

Maybe then we can actually discuss the article, as I feel sorry for Molby that his article has now been ruined.

KPR; if it's not too much work you could always delete all the argument posts.

I'm responding to a couple of your fellow posters who persist in trying to continue this argument. If they shut the **** up then I wouldn't be posting these comments and your discussion could continue.

Let this register into your sad excuse for a brain.Your question was answered.Full stop.Nobody else is arguing,so back to the debate.
Secondly if I deleted the arguement posts there would be no article, apart from a maximum of 6 posts out of 59(Including this one)

To be honest, there's not too much debate to be had about the original article. I think we'd all agree that things are looking so much more positive now than they were 12 months ago. The only slight reservation I have is the poor performances against Spurs and Villa, we went out with a bit of a whimper.
I said on the Gerrard post that I thought we missed him in those games- he's seemingly the only one who can get a grip on a game that is getting away from us and bring it round. Hope he's back to form and fit next season. He'll be tough to replace.
