Any recall was for emergency cover or to be sold. I guess we have used the emergency cover as our story for recalling him. I don't think it is to cover Chester but more to force payment or sell him elsewhere. I think he will be gone soon.
If its a recall expect 3-5-2 for rest pf season. Personally i think forest have messed around with the deal and failed to cough up in time (explains quotes early in week that deal was done)
You can't compare the two as to who has performed better as they have been up against different classes of opposition
I think Chester has been largely poor this season, but perhaps he has been carrying a niggling injury. Either way, it makes a mockery - as I always said - of some of our fans outlandish claims on this very board that he was one of the top 5 centre backs in the country.
It seems the problem with the Forest deal was Hobbs personal terms... READING and Wigan have both made fresh offers for Nottingham Forest target Jack Hobbs. While Hull City manager Steve Bruce confirmed that the defender’s move to the City Ground collapsed over his failure to agree personal terms with the Reds. Hull accepted an offer, of close to £1m, for the 25-year-old on January 14. http://www.nottinghampost.com/Readi...tory-20505949-detail/story.html#ixzz2rbPjKA00
Having received acceptable bids from Wigan and Reading, Hobbs has been told he's free to speak to them both.
slightly different situation then things are different now. on the forest forum i am on, it is suggested that we had an agree for the season long loan deal and as we would then be able to sign him for free in the summer we would offer him a decent signing on fee (£500k). But because Hull decided to cash in on him our chairman agreed to cough up the £1m for him now just to do the deal, however then made Hobbs aware that he would no longer get the £500k sign on fee in the summer as he would no longer be signing as a free agent, we would be buying him now effectively. It wasnt happy with that and wants to see what REading and Wigan have to offer. all a bit of a mess really. Not sure how REading will be buying anyone right now, so Wigan might be the place for him. Most forest fans are pretty dissappointed but if he isnt that keen on signing for us then so be it. We have an at least equalivilent pair in Lascelles and Wilson. Cant see him staying with Hull though.
Looked on your forum earlier. Ltft or something. Some right ****e on there about the whole Hobbs situation. Wrist slitting, knicker wetting, lies and imagination told as fact and just a complete lack of knowledge or understanding of transfers in general. If that's the forum you use, Christ! I despair. Small amount of common sense on offer from what I saw!
