Might be because I'm in London, wouldn't be surprised if Karoo had cached the DNS settings due to the high volume of people on the network accessing the website.
I am simply guessing but I have seen similar things done in my line of work. Some bright spark at Karoo probably needs to flick a switch. Seen as though practically 80% of traffic to that site would be using Karoo it would be a logical move on Karoo to Cache it and feed it out locally. probably got that Cache pointing at the wrong IP address. EDIT: Although the staff on the Hull City facebook page didn't have a clue - so if anyone is reading speak to Karoo they need to refresh the DNS settings.
News now provided by Sky Sports, that's ****ing **** since they haven't got an article confirming the signing of Amos or Jakupovic (I know they've put the story about him on today, but we announced i days ago) Can't wait to get to games with us not knowing whether our new loan signings are just rumours on here or fact until we hear the team sheet being read out.
Nope. I'm in London. Had it working when I clicked OLM's link and then not when I clicked the same link from the same computer 5 minutes later.
I've got the new one now, very nice actually. Seems we have actually moved away from PremiumTV and made our own website like a big club. The site is good but you can tell it's new, there are some massive gaps in certain places and loading time on some pages is horrific, even if I am using my laptop through a pretty slow mobile internet connection.
I have no problem getting on the site, but it must have been designed during a lunch break Check out how the same design tools can make a site look so much better. http://www.oneill.com/60years/
What the hell is that advert for a B-movie about time travelling nazi killings soldiers??? seriously ?
That is pretty unprofessional - there are still broken links all over the place. Are we braking from the generic company that does all the FL websites? I hope it gets fixed soon - I'm not impressed.
Oh ffs, what's with the news stories not being on one page as well? Just loaded that one about the youth team going to Portugal for a couple of weeks and found it's split over 3 pages. Further disappointment, it's still PTV, Luton have the same setup so we're just the pilot clubs for it.
I noticed that when the "Let the games commence" article was spread over 2 pages. A far better-looking layout, but clearly rushed. They could have left it a month to sort everything out - surely it wouldn't have been that hard for the designers to recognise obvious flaws? Another thing is the smart looking player-ticker thing, where you can flick through all the players. Everyone is there on "Full squad" but on the ticker there's only 5 players, one of which is no longer with us. Which brings me to another point. Why is our squad never up to date on our own website? There's still Basso, Kilbane, Garcia... I don't see how it's so hard to delete profiles from time to time, we had Barmby as a player on there for months after he retired.
All the squad lists/profiles are dealt with centrally by the Press Association. It's seen as the most efficient way of keeping the appearances, goals etc and other stats up to date during the season, and when a player moves clubs during a season it means all the stats and things are done automatically as the player has an ID (equally easily manipulated by users, that's why all the "look Andy Carroll has signed for Lincoln" style spoofs get started). The problem is they don't deal with non-stats things on a daily basis so when there's a profile change or a player leaves the club has to just submit the information and wait for them to get round to it.
