hope that is true .. we have Evra, and we don't need another old player like Baines .. Shaw was always my ideal target .. so let us hope it is true not sure though if Saints will be tempted to sell for 10m ..

Just popped over from the Not606 Saints forum as we are all heartily sick of this media talk. Shaw is going nowhere. He has stated several times that he has absolutely no desire to move from Saints. He knows he's first choice. He knows he'll play in every game he's fit enough for. He said he's staying, as far back as January and reiterated his feelings, as per Saints interview, on his 18th birthday, when he signed a new 5 year contract. You're correct. He isn't leaving. Neither are any of the other Academy starlets that are emerging. They are all under long contracts now. There you go. Apologies for the slight rant. And, not that you'll need it, but good luck this season.
He'll not leave. Though in saying that when does a contract really matter when a player wishes to leave or indeed a club wants shot of a player?
He's actually a tricky player to put a price on. For us he's completely priceless, however he has shown signs of being susceptible to injury. On the other hand he is better than Bale was playing the same position at his age. I'd say bidding would have to start at 15-20m + a substantial add on package for Cortese to even pick up the phone, although even typing that feels wrong! Nicola is certainly not looking to sell, and if he doesn't want to sell then United will have to a settle for a deal like the one made for Chamberlain which was very fair for us. Plus with you guys already having Evra, you don't really need Shaw.
So you reckon Cole will be finished at the top level before Evra? And I thought world class Bertrand was the perfect successor for Cole...
