The club are the players and supporters. Bates is not Leeds United, never will be. Thank **** he's nearly 80.
yea ofcourse it is the supporters, they are the only constant in a football club. everything else changes
And that's when you needed tight arse bates to get his finger out and buy some decent players in the JAN transfer window so we could push on from a great first half of the season.
Grayson is fine. i dont see any logical reason to sack him.its the funding that were not getting thats screwing us up
While I wouldn't wish to see the back of them both, Josh and Simon are starting to make a bit of a name for themselves, kind of like the opposite end of the scale to Clivetime. Take away the blinded loyal support for Bates and failiure to accept negatives when they happen they are both good posters. It matters not what anyone thinks, facts are facts. Hands up how many fans "KNEW" Gradel would be sold right near the end of the transfer window. Forget transfer requests and wage demands, I can counter that with Gradel saying I want to stay at Leeds and nobody has even talked to ME the man HIMSELF about a new contract. If he did place a transfer request on the table it would have been forced into that position. Bates knows that Leeds fans are already up in arms, the handling of players and contracts by us as a team is a disgrace. Bates is screwing Leeds over, 5th highest season ticket prices, divisions highest gate, a small squad yet can't afford wages to keep players, Delph money vanished, Kasper money vanished. Remember Bates and Grayson saying Gradel is going nowhere, saying the sale of Kasper has helped us hold onto players like Becchio, GRADEL and Snodgrass. All a shambles but back to the point, I do think Simon and Josh need reality checks and I have said before, maybe I am jealous that I don't wear the same rose colour glasses that these two do but I would rather see them posting than not, just a little more balance would be nice.
Leeds fans seeing only the negative Josh? Surely not!!! Its part of the Leeds gene pool. We only do negative. Heyho, we move on. Nunez or Sam will start instead next week, & after a week or two, it'll be Max who? Hopefully, whatever we got for Max will be used to bring in a decent defender or two. Could have been Lichaj, but he's back in favour at Villa just in time to be out injured for a few months. Next Saturday's game against Palace & the crowd reaction to everything is going to be interesting. I was at Ipswich on Saturday & SG still has the backing of the fans. Papa Smurf clearly doesn't. But a bad result on Saturday against a half decent Palace team, & SG might feel under a bit of pressure. I hope he sticks with it because the luck really hasn't been with us so far this season. & then again, we're Leeds & we might not give a f**k, but we also don't do lucky. Keep the faith one & all. MOT
Its hardly unreasonable bes using stats accumulated over nine months to support his argument. I would think 27 games should give a fair indication of form
LIW You can't rule out anyone going with this **** in charge! On a positive note ive heard a few rumours that Brighton have offered 500k for Paynter
Please don't get me started .... i'm on enough Blood pressure tablets as it is ......... " no i', not biting!! Keep Calm Rod keep calm !"..................
What is bollocks is people saying that despite admitting to handing in a transfer request, demanding £25k and "pushing to leave" people believe he wanted to stay because he said so a coupe of months ago. People are letting their hatred of Bates blind themselves from the actual situation, he wanted to leave, we got a decent enough offer for him so he's gone, we move on now and Nunez will step up. Now for some positives: We still have Snoddy and Brighton might actually want to pay 500,000 whole British pounds for Billy Paynter!!
I agree with the majority on here, that it is Bates who is the problem, though I don't think Grayson is doing himself any favours when you look back at the form since xmas. That brings up the question, that has been brought up plenty of times on here recently, who would ever want to take a job on under Bates if Grayson does go? There's an argument to be had about Gradel, but we can only speculate what has gone on behind the scenes, whether he wanted to stay or not, but what we do know is that Bates / Grayson could have stopped the transfer if they wanted to, and letting such a fan favourite and talented player go after a bad run of games, on deadline day with little hope of replacement is NOT good for morale. That's what we need as a club, with or without Bates, we the fans need to see some evidence that this club is headed in the right direction, and over the last few weeks I, for one, haven't seen any of that. I don't think that's true. It isn't a case of being blinded by hate, it's a case that we all know that we aren't going to see the money reinvested. You can argue to the hilt that it is blind hate, but we have all seen it happen too many times before. I'd be quite happy for Grayson to stay and have a go with proper resources made available to him, but Bates needs to go.
Simon I want to know your background Ie do you work for the club, do you go to games. Your blind backing of the clubing is well, scary
